The Hat is arguably my all-time favorite burger and fries. The chili fries are a must if you ever go again, BUT, here's a pro tip (unless you like soggy fries), get yourself an order fries and a side of chili instead of the chili fries. This way the fries stay nice and crisp and you can dip as you go. The chili fries are a big soggy mess that can still be tasty, but the crispness of the fries is completely lost. Big fan of your channel, Mr. Woo.

Hi Adam, Love your Vlogs and been watching you for a couple of years now. I love The Hat, I work close by. As for the dip portion, you can ask for it on the side or they can dip before wrapping it up. My personal preference is without dip with 6 chille peppers, UUMM. The reason why I like the Hat is because they slice the meat thinly and it's not to saltly. Next time you go, try the chilli cheese fries with pastrami, but I recommend that you take some friends with you. Portion size is HUGE enough for 4 people. I grew up in the pastrami sandwich decade and have never liked pastrami however most other people loved it! This is a very cool place and menu!

Great choice, Adam! I love The Hat...definitely a Southern California classic!! Oh yeah...the Orange Bang...a staple of my childhood growing up here in L.A...I share your passion for this delectable drink. I'm really enjoying your Southern California Eatery series...great stuff, Sir!

My wife and my favorite sandwich in the whole world. Although we live in Michigan whenever we visit southern California we have to eat one of these. Yes with mustard and pickles of course.
