Adam: " I remember when I'm in Alaska I'm going to be sittin in the hot tub soon in Hawaii." Mom: "With your mother." Mom, when Dad was truckin and payin, set the foundation for your love of Disney and travel. Love you, Mom! I've had a cocktail, LOL. You can figure it out.

Nice running into you yesterday. So glad you enjoyed family time on the island. Goofy being goofy - lol. I saw a duo playing the most lovely Hawaiian old school music at the ‘Oleo Lounge last night. . Name of the duo is Hema Pa’a. The sunset was stunning. Peace and Aloha. 🌺

Not a cellphone tower. It's the civil defense siren. You don't want to be near there the first day of the month at 11:45am when they test the sirens...very loud!

At the 3 minute mark, the pole you are referencing is not a cell tower, but one of the emergency siren stations. Every 1st of the month at 11am they do a test for a minute to verify that all stations are working.

Next time you are here in December, go out at night to check out all the neighborhoods lit up with Christmas lights and displays for that holiday feeling. In town, Honolulu Hale has a 50 ft Christmas tree, 21 ft tall Shaka Santa and Tutu Mele (Mrs. Claus), and other holiday decorations around the civic grounds. The courtyard also has various Christmas trees decorated by various City departments and groups. So many homes here put up lights and decorations for Christmas. There is a cul-de-sac in Waikele where 1 family went all out with their decorations and became so popular, pretty much every house on that street now has lights and decorations. Plus, they close the road to car traffic for a few hours at night.

Aloha Adam I’m a resident here on Oahu I’ve been following your vlogs for a long time. On December 7, 1941 the Japanese failed to strike two of our main electric power plants one is Kahe Power plant and the other one is across from Pearl Harbor. If they did Oahu would have been in the dark big time. Glad you had a good time. Mahalo for all your work. Happy holidays ❤️🙏🏼

You probably appreciate being in Hawaii more after being in Barrows Alaska. You also deserve after braving the cold and darkness. I like the snow and cold but, not that much. It's so dark and depressing.

Glad you had a fun time with your family. I think when you go back, you’ll enjoy the other islands much better than Oahu. It would be cool to see the erupting volcano on the big island of Hawaii and the stunning scenery of Kauai. Oahu is just too crowded, dirty, and commercialized for my taste. I’ve been to four of the Hawaiian islands…..Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii. Hope you have safe travels in your next destination.

3:00 ,that's a warning ⚠️ siren ,probably a modern Whelan model.,I have a older one from the 1970's disassembled back in Korea that's a mechanical version made by Whelan, my friend has a actual working Federal Signal Thunderbolt mechanical siren that's even louder & turns around in Tennessee, they actually encouraged him to make it part of the emergency alert ⚠️ system for tornadoes 🌪 that probably makes the modern one sound like a tweeter 🔊 it's really loud

Thanks for sharing your family vacation with us. It’s all so beautiful and green and colorful. I looked up Steven Phan, the memorial by the beach. It’s so sad. He drowned while on his honeymoon and thieves stole everything of his and wife that was left on the beach, even their rental car. Such ugliness in such beauty. Stay safe.
@Jinadean80815 сағат бұрын
Okay Adam, if you should read this, it's for your future trips back here. Our alphabet is different in Hawaii... okay first vowels. A is pronounced ahh, E is Ay, I is ee , o is oh and U is uu. Also consonants are different we have H,K,L,MNP and that is it. Now you know, aloha
