When i worked at wdw they had employee activities ... One was summer Canoe Racers of the World, or CROW... We used to race the big 2 ton canoes around the Rivers of America at 5 a.m. before the park opened. The best magic at WDW was walking Frontierland and Liberty Square with zero guest, listening to the sounds of the park waking up as we arrived at 5 and were gone by 7.

When I was little, they had the Swan Boat Ride in the moat around Cinderella's Castle. It was a really nice ride. Miss that. My dad has awesome movies of the top of the Castle, as we floated under the front walkway.

I live in South Florida. It was a rough week of storm prepping , 48 hours of of rain, wind & flooding, followed by clean up work. All the while, I’ve been watching constant news and KZbin coverage of weather, destruction, and aftermath. All I can say is THANK YOU Adam for this happy video. Many of us need and appreciate the return to normalcy. :)

While looking at them mostly empty park, it reminded me of our very first visit to WDW. It was in Dec, and a cast member said it was the height of the “dead season” (this was yrs ago). If we had to way more than 30 seconds for any ride we walked away and came back later. Good times.

I went to the University of Florida and I was walking to class on a dirt path and there was a huge one across the path. Luckily on the left of me was a road so I could go out into the road to give the kind gentleman some space. They ended up moving him elsewhere

Best of everything to you all and to each and every other Floridan out there. Glad to see the Disney Parks reopening. Lots of people showing up for early entry. Magic Morning at Disneyland was THE BEST. ANYTIME we went to Disneyland we’d get a a hotel package with Magic Morning. We’d do Indy (with working snake 😑) 2 or 3 times before the park opened.

After seeing that shirt you were looking at, that's why I don't particularly care for shirts with large prints on the front. I don't mind a small logo on the front but I prefer the main design which is usually large on the back. Also, the shirts are generally not as hot when the large print is on the back. With that in mind, I guess I would have to just say plain old colored t-shirts, polo shirts are my favorites

Nice to see the park open but if I was staying at a resort and one of the perks was early entry and yet you can’t ride most of the rides until when everyone else can get it, I’d be pissed !

Yes, early entry the day after a cat 5 struck the state. More to worry about than getting on a ride. They should have stayed closed another day so cast members could clean up their own properties, not cater to people with nothing else to do.

They didn’t check my resort ID yesterday. I don’t think they even made sure it was resort guests. It was awesome crowd wise! Covid crowd level. While I was at MK they announced HHN was happening and I bolted out and headed to Universal. And it was dead there! Was awesome yesterday!

Normal early entry is only for 30min before park opens. If the park is set to open at 9am early entry is from 8:30-9am.

@@timlittle841 I’m local. The residents on the coast mostly headed north. Nobody knew until the very last minute which way this storm was heading. I live in the same neighborhood as Adam and also stayed at a resort property to be safer as we were expected to have a huge impact at home. He did the smart thing by leaving his home and staying in a safer place and did not displace another person escaping the storm. Please don’t make unfair assumptions.

I’m speaking as someone who is here on property and has a grasp of the situation as it was unfolding. If you were also on property and were not able to find a safe accommodation as you left an area threatened by the storm, for that I owe you a heartfelt apology. I was informed that there were rooms still available for storm ride out before the storm hit. Let’s just hope we don’t have any more this season and that those in the Carolinas stay safe as possible.

When the parks reopened they were open for guests of the hotels on property with previous reservations and open to hotel guest pass holders to make reservations. What they didn’t advertise was that Pixie Dust pass holders were excluded. That was confirmed at ticket and transportation.
