The tunnel was dark and foreboding. Light seemed to avoid it as if it were afraid it might be snuffed out any instant never to return. Summoning the courage to drive through it Adam charged through the tunnel only to be confronted on the other side by something that could only exist in the nightmare world on the other side of the tunnel. That's how it felt to watch that vlog at that moment. I had recurring nightmares as a child of going off a bridge and drowning. There were a lot of places you showed today that really gave a creepy vibe I still enjoyed it though! Except for the bridge of course.

I am originally from that part of the country. Couple of things: 1.) Yes Stan Musial is from DonORa as is Ken Giffey Sr. 2.) It is pronounced MoNESSen. 3.) I believe that spooky bridge was also used in a 'Justified' episode. 4.) All of those small western PA towns along the Monogahela River suffered from coal dust and smoke from the steel mills. It was highly industrialized area back in the 1940s to early 1970s. Then the mills shut down and the towns really suffered. 5.) I have been through Layton a number of times. There used to be a white water rafting company there. They would take people 10 miles up the river and then let them float back to Layton. In the spring that river is a really active. Very nice trip. It's too bad you didn't have more time to spend in the area. There are tons and tons of interesting old things to explore and find.

Looking at the narrow bridge and tunnel to me it looks like it was once a single track railroad no doubt abandoned years ago and turned into a roadway. And that "train" is an old caboose that railroads don't use hardly anymore. Great vid!

Directly above the tunnel in Perryopolis, at time 1:38, is a network of caves facing out at the river. You can either take a small 4x4 up on side, or there is a secret road where the bridge layers suspended up top from. And there are albino small bats living up there. The cave entrances are large with sand and a platform to camp. It's pretty neat.
