I’m one of those weird tail-end baby boomers (born 1964) I remember the first Pong video that was installed in our bowling alley and I was an expert on the arcade “Defender” (once played over 7 hours on one quarter at our little neighborhood grocery store ‘Cyro’s” and gave my game to a little kid who had been watching me for like 2 hours-he had like a zillion “free lives” too) but by the time these games came out I was too old to care about them (yet I still remember wanting one?) I remember this game. When I was in my younger teen years I would go up town to a local video store to rent a game or 2 also b4 renting there was a game room to spend the day to try out the games. This is indeed another game that I never got to beat even though love the retro games.

This game gave me the idea for the ATW NES game. Searching two-level houses, events, parks, etc. for... cameras or photo spots I guess? haha. Use software called NES Maker, so it will happen one day. And isn't it SO much better playing on a CRT television?

Same age-range as you Adam; crazy part is...when this game first came out, I *insistently* tried to rent it from the numerous "mom & pop" VHS & video game rental places near me. The game was ALWAYS checked-out,...EVERYWHERE, and as is the case with most tweenie-boppers, my attention span only lasted until the next interesting thing/game, popped up. In short....I never got to play the game....lol.

Adam! LJN was just game publisher.. the actual Developer was RARE(makers of Donkey Kong country, Goldeneye 007, etc.)... this is a really good game :) It’s actually based on “Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors”. The icons give you the Dream Warriors Powers

Such a great game, one of my favorites on the nes. Entering the house can be very cryptic for sure and some of the enemies that pop up at the wrong time can be a pain, not ninja gaiden pain but pain never the less. I have beaten it a few times but you have to keep a really good stock of continues and not die very often. Your going to need everything to beat Freddy in the end. Awesome job with the vid! 👍
