@@TheGatlinburgHussey Funny enough I worked for Delta Air Lines for 15 years before getting into vet med. An injured opossum walked into my house through the cat door, which got me into wildlife rehab. 3 years later I went to vet school; I just graduated. Animals are the best. I've now dedicated my to helping them as much as I can.

We went to Belize a few years ago. What a lot of people don't realize is that Caye Caulker and San Pedro have very few beaches. Belize is an ideal vacation for scuba divers. The main land is great for eco tourism and mayan ruins but they have very little infrastructure. I found Belize to be very expensive as there is little you can do without a guide. If you make it to San Pedro make sure to check out secret beach it is one of the few beaches on the island. The trip is a nightmare but it's nice when you get there.

Good one Adam! I did a solo trip to Caye Caulker way back in 2006. Spent 8 days there with side trips to see Mayan ruins and snorkeling the reef. Awesome to see it hasn't changed much since then! The food was great and the local beer (Belikin) tops off the meal nicely! Have fun!

What's nice about Belize is it's English! Hubby wants us to visit Belize. I've been to Costa Rica and Mexico they are not unlike Belize. I just aways have to be careful of Montezumas revenge even if i never touch the water supply. I'm susceptible! That island seems very similar to Playa Del Carmen Mexico. It's awesome! You should be staying there! Watching you explore is great! Thank you for sharing! Ihope that coconut is good.

We went there a few years ago because I thought the same thing that it would be like an English Mexico. It's not at all. There are hardly any beaches and very little infrastructure for tourists. It is great for scuba divers and eco tourism but gets very expensive as you need to basically do a guided tour for everything. Also there are very few flights there. We were lucky as we had direct flights from our city but that is unusual. There aren't even direct flights from New York if you can believe it.

I am happy that the whole time you were on the charming cape you thought your trip back to Belize City was going to be a more comfortable ride, I love “Just another experience”, my husband would say, “Don’t tempt worse”. Thanks for the experience and your delight in it. Be safe.

So stay behind your computer screen where you feel safe. Adam is out there living, not cowering in fear of the world behind what he knows.
