As you were reciting your historical journey over the years on this channel I couldn't help but realize that my kids (in high school now) and I have been following you almost the whole way. Your channel was the first that we really connected with as a family and had to watch as regularly as we could. -We have our own Big the Foot that travels in the car with us...because of you. -I have my own Creed T in my garage...because of you. -My kids ask if all the flowers are petunias with a chuckle...because of you. -I check every abandoned water faucet to see if it works...because of you. -We always wonder how proud Hitchcock is when a swarm of birds is around...because of you. -We learned not to buy an RV...because of you...and my dad. -And most importantly we enjoy traveling and seeing unique things everywhere we go...because of you. Thank you for all the content that you provide for posterity on this channel.

True. That doesn’t mean we like the process though! I HATE moving! Lol. The process of finding a new place, packing, paying deposits, doing applications, hauling heavy stuff & box after box into a truck, changing the address blah blah. *gag* lol. Adam, as much as I have enjoyed your theme park adventures over the years, and some have enjoyed them more (and less) than I have, to me you are embarking on the path you were meant to follow. You are like a current day Woody Guthrie, or the vagabonds of the last century, riding the rails, traveling the highways and byways of this wide, expansive Nation. With the advent of the Interstate Highway system, many of the small, once-thriving towns and villages in this country have shriveled up and are dust in the wind. We need to have you document the ones that remain while they are still existent, while our history still beckons. Go forth, young man! Let the wind take you on your journeys, and we will be with you every step of the way!

Adam glad your choosing a new path. You might consider in the summer traveling to Michigan Upper Peninsula. The ghost town of Fayette, which is a State Park now. It was abandoned in the late 1800's,when the price of Iron Ore bottom out. The original buildings have been preserved. Marquette, Michigan also was a another city effected by the collapse of the Iron Ore industry. They moved the city to assure that the buildings did not collapse from the mines under them. The remains of the old streets and foundation and mines are still there. That also has been turned into a park. The huge Iron Ore docks are still there on Lake Superior. The massive structures ,that loaded the Ore into railroad cars and ships for transport . I think it would make very good content. If you so choose it. Good luck and safe travels.

Another great video. If you get a chance in Spring or Summer I must suggest a number of great paths though the Northwest there are hundreds of amazing small towns in WA, OR, ID, also in to NV, MT, many are unchanged over 100 years others have improved over time, some abandoned some really lively, lots of really old world businesses. The one negative side is that there are very few roadside attractions and the terrain can be difficult and bad weather in a good part of the year.

Safe travels for when you’re “East Bound & Out”!! Truth be told, I’ll miss your SoCal vlogs, especially the ones that didn’t include the theme parks. You showed the areas that no other vlogger, especially those who grew up around there, would think to show. The convention center is such a beautiful area to vlog from. The area around Disneyland didn’t look like that the last time I was in Anaheim (1986). They’ve really made Harbor Blvd a nice place to stroll. Hearing from Spencer & Katie about the neighborhoods around Disneyland that are pretty dangerous to the point where they had to recently move into a more secure place was pretty eye opening information. I had not heard that information from any other vlogger in the area I watch. Interesting how your video ended with the camera fogging up. “Sweaty with respect” as Justin would say.

Best of luck, Adam! Left 15 years ago and the two things I dearly miss are the weather and the beaches. In Florida, at least you can still drive to the beach. The Orange Circle and downtown Tustin were my old stomping grounds in the 90's. . . . .TLDR section. . . Man, everything changes. Back then the Circle had a Diedrich's Coffee, a Radio Shack, ton's of local businesses and antique shops and only a few restaurants (Felix's is still there) and a couple of dive bars (O'Haras and Paul's -- both still there and both still dives). The old liquor store is now a restaurant, but still has the Rod's Liquor neon sign. Recently revisited and it's much hipper now, with higher end restaurants moving here (Citrus City Grille from Orange and Tustin, Francoli Gourmet which was in Fashion Island decades ago). The Circle is even better now than it was back then -- and I loved it then.

I'm excited for what's next. I Love the backroads vids you do. I follow along with a map and try to guess where you'll stop next ; ) hoping someday to follow some of those same trails. The park stuff was good but there is so much more out there to see. Some of it is disappearing quickly. Thanks so much for taking us along for the ride! Good luck in all you do, and safe travels be with you.

Adam I wish you well on your travel back to Florida. Hope the weather cooperates this time. I see this as a positive for you as far as not keeping a place in Cali. Less to worry about there and when you go back you do have some great friends there who no doubt will welcome you to stay with them if you want. As far as you not doing park videos that is cool. When you do go sans camera I bet you will enjoy them all the more.

While California is fun to visit, it’s just not a financially viable place to live. Smooth sailing ahead for you.

It's not a SOCIALLY viable place to live. Let's be real, shall we? I left after 35 years last year. I don't miss it and all the constant BS one single bit. There's an entire world out here that people stuck in California will never have because they don't think any place else exists.

I'm sad that you are leaving California....I guess the chances of running into you are slim and none....and slim just left town. I bumped into Natalie on a neighborhood walk and that was a real treat! Safe travels and looking forward to watching your adventures. Thank you for the uploads and entertainment!!

Great ending! And I love your "backroads" stuff - it's some of the best you've ever done, nice to see you getting back to it - you really have a nose for hidden treasure!

Wait a minute, did I understand you to say that you only have 2 good years to travel because you will turn 50? Come on now, I'm 50, I'm not dead...keep traveling past 50! Plus, AARP membership provides some good travel discounts! :) Btw, the apartment you are leaving looks great. I love the area and the fact that you can walk places! I grew up in a small town in Upstate NY where I could walk to everything - grocery store, school, library, bars and restaurants. It was a town of about 3,000 people. Now I live in a city of about 300,000 and I can't walk anywhere because I live in a planned development in the burbs. Technically I am in the city, but I'm in the burbs. I miss being able to walk places.

Hi Adam! Change is good, a little scary, I did it last year. I was at the same place for 16 yrs! Fresh start....Safe travels to you! I can't wait for your new adventures, I enjoyed this last look at your apt and southern California!😃🌴🌞

Adam is now a part of the major migration out of California. Wish I could move to Florida and so does half the country. Unfortunately, because of the fact that so many people want to live there the real estate prices have skyrocketed. If you already have property there ….hang onto it! California is a beautiful place but has been ruined by bad management.

Everyone thinks FL is some sort of paradise, it isn't. Been here 30 years and now that my wife is gone, I'm out. Between things like $5k for homeowners, the traffic, the nuts people, the storms, hurricanes, street flooding, bugs, critters, just no more. Hotter than hades for 8 months in this wretched swamp, and Florida Man lurks around every corner. Y'all can have it.

Thank you for loving my town as much as you do I'm pretty sure the mayor as well as the police chief would agree that you are an honoree citizen of Old Town Orange! God bless you and your travels! >>> Don't forget the orange traffic circle has been around since the 1800s and now they're all the rage everywhere not just Michigan!
