I call it Anakin's Lightsaber for the simple reason that I'd be willing to wager Rey will build her own blade at some point. That will be *her* unique weapon. This saber was built by Anakin for Anakin, even if it is currently utilised by Rey. Likewise, I don't call it Luke's lightsaber for the same reason. Luke used the lightsaber, but it was his father's, and he eventually went on to make his own. Side note, I bought the first Build Your Own Lightsaber kit when it first came out and it's nice to see that they're still developing that concept and making the sabers more accurate to their movie counterpart, because the original combinations weren't great replicas.

Pro tip for everyone, don't go to Disney during Christmas expecting to build the most original lightsaber ever. I went this Christmas and they only had two options for each step. I'm guessing they were sold out of all the cool stuff.

It's anakin's lightsaber because it has the little gold wedge on the side of the golden switch (which has a bunch of lines crossing). Rey's, or Luke's lightsaber from Empire Strikes back has a switch with a bunch of horizontal lines on it.

A very simple way to differentiate the lightsabers is to look at the button cover. Anakin's button cover (the one featured in this video) it's a golden color. Luke's lightsaber is a bubble strip and Rey's lightsaber is the "piano" cover. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Hey Dan-O, nice video! It would be called the hero lightsaber, like seen in Star Wars Launch Bay. This would belong to actually Luke now because we see Rey give it to Luke at the end of episode 7. Possibly it could be Rey's lightsaber? I love these videos and watching you do them makes all Star Wars fans happy! Some recommendations for lightsabers to make next are :Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader, and both of Obi Wan's lightsabers because these characters hold lightsabers that describe their character and personality. It's the Skywalker Family Lightsaber so on my opinion it's not Rey's until we know what family she's from. If she's a Skywalker it belongs to her, if not the case then it's technically not hers but it DID call to HER in the Force Awakens; Maybe we'll Never know but i'd love to find out more about Rey in Episode IX (9) So Plz reply and tell me what u think. I would call the bladebuilder's Anakin's because of that golden curved piece on the side of the activation switch; this saber only ever appearing in episode III. Rey used the lightsaber seen in the original trilogy, which had a silver clip-like piece as it was made from a Graflex camera flash (which still had the original clip with 'Graflex' embossed on it).

Call it Anakins. Reason is because in ROTS, Anakin uses that same hilt. In ANH, ESB and TFA, the hilt is a different design. It's not that Disney didn't update the saber name, it should be because the hilt design is Anakin's. the hilt changes through out every movie.

Let's say you have a car. That car is yours. You then give it to a friend. Now that car belongs to that friend. It does not belong to you anymore. So the way I see it, it is Rey's Lightsaber since in the Last Jedi, Luke threw it away signaling that he does not want it anymore, so it was fair game for Rey to have. Hey dano I was able to take the yoda and kappa had the gold rings on it and put a piece of steel on the end of it and run a bolt through and connect a second one is the 2nd 1 and was able to make a connector that would hold up before Disney came out with their Deluxe and That would separate I also used one of the original and That was a false boit's a false blade and I was able to use steel components on the inside to create a double is a double connector for 2 savers yeah through sabers and I did it before Disney tried it
