I'm a life long Knicks fan much respect for Carmelo.Melo deserved better support on the court than he is gotten since he joined the Knicks it's not his fault and as a knick fan I'm disappointed we could never get him Real help.As Kobe says Melo is a Bear just a bully on the court I love his game.When he plays on those Olympic teams it shows what he could be with just a little help....Not 3 or 4 all stars but even one other star player that's all he needs and he could compete for chips every year.I know Knicks management try's but we need a little luck landing another star player like Carmelo.

As a Knicks fan, it disgusts me how bad we treat our stars and overrate role players. We've yet to hold GMs accountable. Only GM we seem to berate was Isaiah. Yet we've gone year after year without a quality PG. Contrary to the popular trend among ignorant Knicks fans, I am completely satisfied with the production and effort Carmelo Anthony has given us during his Knicks tenure. It is the trash that's been put around him that is the problem and why it hasn't translated to wins. I mean seriously, you could argue that Raymond Felton was the most productive PG we've had since Melo's been here. Raymond freakin Felton

Jason Kidd was..... In one year...him taking Felton off that ball and being a Leader defensively and offensively.. Too bad he was getting long in the tooth.
@Ho11is2Ho11ywood8 жыл бұрын
SDS Overfiend Jason Kidd went an entire playoff series without scoring. Jason Kidd was an excellent leader but people grossly overrate his actual production on the court. He was awful.
@SDSOverfiend8 жыл бұрын
Hollis2Hollywood without his general leadership... We don't stay even remotely close with the bullshit refs was on.. Secondly I don't expect much from a 40 years old PG who was never a scorer.. Just stability.. And he didnt score the last 3 games vs Boston either...atleast he wasnt turning the ball over and getting abused.
@rocksteady67938 жыл бұрын
he could have left and went to a contender and try and win a ring and still make a lot of money, but he chose the greedy route and stayed in ny with a no trade clause which only benefits him so he knew that the time would suck but he doesnt care he just wanted the max deal, it would also help if 75 players didnt hit more 3's than melo this season hes past his prime and is now basically a boring jump shooter
@SDSOverfiend8 жыл бұрын
RockSteady67 Where are Rose and Noah at now!? Where is Chicago at now!? Stop it.. 75 others may hit more threes than him... But do they carry the same weight as Melo doing so other than Curry, Klay? Stop... You sound foolish.. His contract is chump change now... Funny he lambasting him for for not quitting and chasing a ring but for staying, Signing a bargain extension and allowing the GMs to do their job.

That was a great question about the triangle. You should have had him elaborate more on that.
@CUTTHACAP8 жыл бұрын
Cause you dk what the triangle offense is?
@randombiketrips32968 жыл бұрын
Melo has never bought into Phil's attempt at trying to implement the triangle in NYC. Phil even hired Fish then fired him for another triangle guy in Rambis. Melo's game is simply NOT conducive to the triangle offense. Melo is better off in a fast-paced offense. He flourished in Denver with that kind of offense.
@BellinghamJude8 жыл бұрын
+Random Bike Trips Melo is no longer the player he once was. Dude freakin' got rejected by the rim. He would dunk it easy in Denver. He would run lots of fast breaks because he was athletic then. Have you seen him run a fast break this year? He also took away his 'drive game' and settled with jumpers all season. I do think the triangle offense will help him at this stage of his career, where it's more about tactical play then speed and quickness. He just doesn't buy into it because he doesn't like being restricted and having to be part of a 'triangle' instead of his usual main man iso ball that he's used to doing for the past decade.

Melo is just an OK player: great scorer not a great player. All great players force others to get better or are able to raise others play to make the team great: Melo does not have that effect on complementary players.

Melo my g. But really Knicks should be ashamed of themselves not putting real talent around him knowing now long it's been since they've been competitive. And people are giving him heat for taking the chin chila. But when that chin chila is on the table with the organization clearly showing they're incapable of capturing talent, why wouldn't you take it? 😐

@lindaleudo8 жыл бұрын
Maybe but his game is Pippen and Magic esque without the man to man defense… he had a great finals (aided by great play by Kyrie and Love) when it mattered. He is nothing without his elite level help as witness the 3-4 record in the finals coming out the East. So please hush about "top 5" its more to do with who is around him then "him". In big moments you never hear Jordan being saved by Pippen's big shot or Longley's lock down defense on the opposing team's so call best player etc; when LBJ fails its always "he has no help" but when he wins "he's the greatest" man please. Melo will finally have the help he deserves and its no doubt about Westbrook will be a Knick in 2017 so LBJs run is quite over 😴
