Phidippus Regius is an amazing spider! That was my first spider after 45 years of arachnophobia. We often sat together and surfed the web on my phone. ;) Ok, she sat on my thumb (behind the nail) and groomed herself and watched me surf the web. We captured her on the back porch. I hope we find another one this year.

Looks like my Euathlus Sp Red slings. Also from what I understand with the Pacman frogs is to avoid using tap water because they're sensitive to chlorine. Instead just use spring water.

After having 1/2 a dozen or more Pacmans, I can tell you they do like to swim so give him an adequate sized bowl to get really wet and can get out of easy. They sometimes even croak when swimming. When close to adult size watching them eat mice is a blast.

Nice additions Petko! I wish I could ship you a sling from the US, my local shop (lucky me, seven miles away) has a huge selection and they're getting G. pulchra in next month! They are pretty snazzy, but I really adore that G. actaeon you got. Beautiful! I'd pick up a G. pulchra, but they are expensive and I am inexperienced (and I've got ten slings already for my first go). Because the shop's selection is amazing, I managed to get my hands on a tiny Avicularia purpurea at least! On your recommendation, my latest adoption was a wee Chromatopelma cyanopubescens. Can't wait until everyone grows up!
@KreoCrisis6 жыл бұрын
My guess would be Euathlus sp Red. And yes, they are EXTREMELY slow growing. my 1/4" sling was in premolt for no less than 11 months. And I mean full premolt; buried and not eating premolt.

These are my first ever T's and I'd love to know more about caring for them. Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens 3cm Caribena Versicolour 1.1/4 inches Acanthoscurria geniculata 4-5cm Thank you for taking the time to read this. Oh and Greetings from England!

With the pacman frog, If you are okay with daily maintenance, a layer of water (lower than its mouth cuz it would drown) can be used instead of substrate. they are fine with being in water 24/7 as long as you replace the water whenever it poops or pees
@cliftonrivers55126 жыл бұрын
Check to see if it has pooped within a day or two after feeding, the mysterious deaths you mentioned may be caused by backed up intestines, if the frog is constipated a warm water bath can relieve it
@cliftonrivers55126 жыл бұрын
They sell dry food that you add water to if your frog does not like live food
@cliftonrivers55126 жыл бұрын
You will not be able to sex it at this age, you will need to wait until it is over 2 inches long maybe 3 To sex when it gets older you look at the fore(paws?). If dark pads develop on the thumb or it starts chirping then it is a boy, if you dont see anything like that and it gets over 4 inch then you definitely have a female Males about 3-4 inch max, females 7-8 inch max
@cliftonrivers55126 жыл бұрын
If you try mating your frog when it gets older, do NOT keep frogs together in the same habitat, they WILL try to eat eachother until one or both is dead
@cliftonrivers55126 жыл бұрын
If you have any prey that can burrow such as dubia roaches or worms, feed in a seperate container so they can get away. Regular foods : crickets, worms, roaches, or similar. Occasional: Superworms( and their beetles), small fish( like feeder goldfish)(put frog in fish in container with like 1/4 inch of water) NEVER: mealworms cuz they will plug him up and cause intestinal blockage
@drpopdell2596 жыл бұрын
Just a little heads up they like it to be really humid and moist substrate isn't going to do it well enough I'd recommend putting a layer of sphagnum moss in the enclosure a water bowl and twice a day spraying. I'm sure you did a lot of research and already know this but just making sure

Hey Petko! Just to let you know that it's best to provide a basking light with dimmer vs under tank heater. They burrow to cool down so it's counterintuitive.
