The effects made the story that much more immersive . Why other youtubers don't incorporate sound effects into there stories is beyond me. I guess that's a good thing because D.S. stands out , I could be wrong but I haven't heard any

@@draztiktunez7104 I mean its easy to understand why other youtubers don't. Its because they don't have to. The base effort level is enough to garner views, which is the point of making these videos. Why spend an extra hour or two composing music and putting in sound effects when you can cut those hours and make more content and garner more views? If this story telling side of youtube was more competitive then im sure they would, but they simply don't have to. However, Dark's music, sound effects, and emotional voice in his videos make him stand out, which is why i always come back to his channel. He's created his own niche by using sound effects, and honestly its better that other youtubers don't so he stays unique

This kind of story is my favorite. Ones involving nature. The national park stories. The skinwalker stories. I don't know exactly what makes these stories so thrilling. Maybe some of it being Lovecraftian, maybe some other parts of it not being so close to home traumatic? Thank you for the creepypasta delivery

I would imagine because of all the extra work. Mr Somnium here also does the music for all the stories! I'm not going to lie dude, he's made it almost impossible for me to enjoy anyone else's narrations, they seem so damn boring after hearing everything he adds to his.

Honestly it's the sound design of this guys videos that keep me coming back, though his narrations are top notch too. I love Creepypasta but no one else on KZbin make their videos as rich and immersive as TheDarkSomnium does. It's a shame but also makes him one of the best, if not the best creepypasta narrator on KZbin.

Ya know why I love this channel? The effort that goes into each story- -this dude makes all this music, for his music channel and his reads -He reads others' stories, but he also writes his own stories -He does different character voices, without sounding cheeky, and brings on other readers too -plus his voice is super easy to listen to, in the sense that his voice is just smooth and calming- very easy to listen to the story and immerse yourself in the story No joke, Dark Somnium is my favorite reader. Followed closely by Corpse (I'm an OG sub, was one of his first 1000!) and MrCreepypasta. I listen to others, but thats my top 3, and this channel is number 1!

Me and a friend came across this cave in a mountain, we had to bend down to walk through the entrance. It was daytime but as soon as I stepped in I knew we would need a flashlight. We didn't have one so, we left, deciding to come back to it later.. we never did...maybe that was for a very good reason

this story was great but i wanted the last survivor to see it. im picturing muscular hybrid between a humanoid wolf and a demon but needs a fresh body/soul to obtain physical form. Trey did not see the entity coming for him because it wasn't of physical form yet but strong enough to interact with its surroundings in order to kill Trey 1st. This is a hunter/parasite deity that lures, kills, and takes over It's host adding to its strength. It may have needed Bryce's soul to gain enough power to escape the cave and gain permanent form to unleash chaos among the living. Sorry for the long comment but I was intrigued by this "cave spirit's" powers.
