Driving on acid is easy compared to mescaline. Best solution is to just not drive at all. Throw your car in the trash and stay away from super old people. Their deep wrinkles and alien social paradigms will fuck you up when you're in the abyss.

This dug memories. My sister died when she was 27 and I was 23. It was ruled as accidental suicide. It was either intentional or she by misinformation that I provided. I'm 36 and I'm still not over it. Her older daughter that was two told us "Mommy said bye bye.". She was next to her mom when our mom found them. My sister may have died in her own home but my parents still live in the house we grew up in. Her daughters now share that room but every time I see it, all the memories come back. Luckily, most of them are good but it still hurts.

By no means a bad story and I throughly enjoyed most of it. Was it the story I expected? No, but it turned out alright. The whole black sludge entity thing was eh but the drive in movie reveal was cool. I thought the exposition and rising action was great. The sound design was on point! Well done Ronnie that was incredible. Even thought the whole big reveal was a bit lacking I thought it was still a good story. Just one question however: what did the name of the town have to do with the story? I felt like the ash was the only tie in with the name, but I thought the name would mean more. Anyways thanks again for narrating Somnium and thanks to the author MrSinister765.

Hi Ronnie, this was...very hard to listen to , the ending hit like a brick. It's been 32 years since my family went out grocery shopping and only my mum came back. My sisters room haunted me, the eyes of her toys and dolls being damn near menacing. I am also visited by unsolicited images of what was the awful decision to have a pre-funeral viewing for family. It had taken my mum over two weeks to be able to leave the hospital, such were her injuries. My dad and sister had not improved with the subsequent refrigeration. Oh dude I can still remember every awful second of it . I was scared of the dark and my sister coming out of it for me for years. PTSD they call it. You think of soldiers, police, first responders when you hear those letters in that order. But they are the cornerstone letters of an incantation that leaves you bound to a true haunting. This story tripped right through my normal barriers and protection and hit hard. I have been constantly haunted by the events that happened on a spring day in a decade from another millenia , and time has neither dimmed nor softened the moments from then and the three weeks that followed. I am haunted now as I was then and will be until my own end, and I know that despite medication, counseling, therapies...anything, that I can try, that there is no way out, no end no peace from it. Sorry for saying so much, hopefully it will be deleted, or never seen. The ength of it rightfully scaring off the curious. I'm just trying something different, hoping that leaving this here may take some of it from me. Sorry for being so honest. Lee.
