You were an absolute breath of fresh air, super humble, honest and your low cost and simple approach to gear is probably Lee’s nightmare as a retailer haha! Your "The Captain Meets..." was one of the best I've seen. You were both in your element and yet humbly looked like you felt you didn't belong. You blew it out of the water, and you could see Lee looking like "how the flying xxxx is he getting that sound to come out of that equipment". Was wonderful to see you on there, and I hope you realise - considering Lee claims it was one of the most requested ones - that there are many many people out here who reckon you should have been on there ages ago and that your music reaches us.

The interview was great, you did well. Actually, how you handle your mental health issues is quite inspirational. To put things in context, I too suffer from crap mental health and last year I went to the Guitar Show that was being held in Islington, London which is a short bus ride away from me. I got there, walked round the show once, realised that I recognised quite a few people on the various stands from watching KZbin and and promptly decided I couldn't handle that and then went home. So really, you're doing great.

Good gravy Dave, when I heard you were doing the "Capt meets" I had a feeling you would be nervous (who wouldn't be). You owned it mate. I thought you projected really well, and it must be a pressured situation, but you explained your philosophy of guitar, music and life brilliantly,.... Even after being informed that you are the most requested guest, apart from "John Mayer"(no pressure eh?). I think that should tell you how respected you are in the guitar community. I'm so glad that your Sister could go down there with you, if you're feeling freaky nervous then it's great to have that moral support to keep you focused and relaxed. It's great to see you finally getting the recognition you deserve Dave. Your playing and personality have inspired me for years as I'm sure is true for a great many of the subscribers to your awesome channel. Now you're reaching an even bigger audience via Andertons which is truly amazing and definitely well earned.

You gave a smashingly delightful performance, Mr. Dave. I love seeing you get to have all these wonderful opportunities. You're one of my favorite people currently occupying this bit of rock we inhabit, I'm stoked for the day we all get to see you jam with Mr. Frusciante. My two favorite guitarists of all time on one stage... I'll be the one feeling giddy with excitement! - All the best to you, my dear friend!

I go to Andertons a few times a year and am always blown away a how welcoming Lee and the team are. Rob too. It’s a shame you didn’t get to hang with him as you’d have really got on well. Your interview was excellent and seeing Lees face watching you play and his reaction to your Chapman was a fucking treat.

Now you're there on a regular basis. Maybe because of you compassion and joy, but surely because you are who you are, Dave.

Watching your videos and particularly the Anderton interview, reminds me of why I love playing, and how playing the guitar is the best coping strategy I have in my tool box. Thank you for that!

Dave if you ever wonder why we support you it’s because you are a humble and grateful human in a world full of ungrateful people and people with swollen heads. We love you and thank God for your wonderful sister to.

Thanks for sharing this Dave. The interview was so good, and well deserved too. It’s also reassuring to know that I’m not the only one who gets nervous and blanks thing out. Anyway, it’s brilliant you are getting the platform that you should have, I’m so chuffed for you, feels like one of “us” made it

Great to hear about your version of the Andertons Experience. I didn't realise that you were so nervous... you certainly didn't come across that way. You were there by popular demand, for being you, no other reason. Your passion for music always shines through. Well done for making one of the best Andertons shows ever.

I have that problem - of blanking out, memory wise, when I’m nervous. Whatever happened, you did great. It was great to see you up there. Well done.

I am probably a bit the opposite of many commenting here, in that I haven't really followed Andertons (which is being remedied now, thanks to you Dave), instead I watched your interview because it was you! You were great, by the way, authentic Dave (who we all know, even if you don't LOL) May I also say well done, it was brave to do this, because I am all to aware of how the mind can create problems under such circumstances. To go through with it was an act of strength you should take some pride in. You acquitted yourself with dignity, humour and immense talent. And in my mind you just scored the equivalent of a front cover of the N.M.E. (back when that actually meant something, before the dinosaurs went extinct, just about the time a young rapscallion named Hendrix was doing some interesting things with one of those new-fangled electrified guitar gadgets!)
