Ive come full circle to boss pretty much, mad to think. Went on from the boss katana to tube amps, went on from boss pedals to different things like strymon and all that, now im back to a katana and using plenty of different boss pedals as and when needed. Boss really are boss when it comes to tone you can rely on, and its not anything like as expensive as other stuff out there.

Hi Dave! I had been HOPING you would review this pedal! Loved the video. Also Dave, on this pedal, you CAN actually change the "reverb/ambience" type between room (default), hall & plate. From the pedal's manual, page 17. The instructions for changing it are a little fiddly but not hard. (Sorry if this is long) 1. Turn off the power (unplug the cable from the INPUT jack). 2. Set the type knob to “TWN”. 3. Turn the [AMBIENCE], [LEVEL] and [GAIN] knobs all the way counterclockwise, and turn the [BASS], [MIDDLE] and [TREBLE] knobs all the way clockwise. 4. While holding down the pedal switch, turn on the power by inserting a plug into the INPUT jack. After the CHECK indicator lights up green, it cycles between blinking orange twice and staying lit. 5. Use the type knob to select the ambience type. Type knob Explanation. CLEAN = Room TWN = Hall TWEED = Plate 6. Press the pedal switch. This saves the settings. Also, the CHECK indicator rapidly blinks red. You can play normally with this unit after around two to three seconds. 7. DONE. Have a great day Dave! I appreciate your content so much! - Trent.

Amazing Dave, I just bought a used GT1000 Core, and I’m using it as a solo pedalboard, but on my real pedalboard is the Boss IR200, and all 3 of these pedals share the same IR/Tone Stack Foundation, you can run any of these into an FX Return and you have a plethora of authentic, GREAT-sounding preamps, like another commenter said, I’ve come full circle as well, selling all my pedals and amps and no pretty much only running a few Boss pedals, they just work well, sound amazing, and don’t cost a fortune. Truly the workhorse of the guitar world. Oh, and that playing is unbelievable man, wow….

Timely. I have one of these. I use it as my gig back up. So easy to set up. Works well with pedals with little adjustment. If you want to dive in a bit deeper you can add your own IRs. Forgot to mention you can change the reverb. Room, spring and plate. I use plate. You have a few button presses to make the change.

I think it has been mentioned but I can't find it...there are three reverb settings and in my opinion the plate reverb is the best. You just need to change it from stock setting. Absolutely spot on about the lack of reverb - I've got this pedal and used it recently plugged straight into a desk playing in a band for a panto, I put the ambience up at full whack to get a bit more room feel. It is a great pedal though, even without the reverb. Great playing Dave. There are also a whole bunch of other customisation features that can be accessed by having particular settings selected at power on, it is very customisable.

You have a choice of ambience and two different reverbs as it says in the manual.
@AndyH2O8 ай бұрын
@@davidmurphy4844 The ambience settings are room/hall/plate with room being the default. Changing from the default was barely noticeable in the live environment so sticking with default and turning up to max was the best option. That is the nearest you'll get to a traditional reverb setting on a real amp, it's a stretch to call it a proper reverb, I think ambience sums it up.
@davidmurphy48448 ай бұрын
@@AndyH2O I've not tried the other two reverbs as when I gig I normally don't use reverb. I tend to use a slap back set pretty low.

A very good and now iconic brand of not only guitar effects. I have in mind to build one smaller PB exclusively with effects of this brand. I only have the 50W MkII combo from Boss, very happy with it. I have a certain alternative to this particular effect from the company Joyo, it is fully sufficient for me as a complete amateur. This effect + other Boss pedals must certainly satisfy even professional guitarists. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍

At least it has an effects loop and a headphone output. I was going to spend 400 bucks on a UAFX plexi pedal, but no headphone out. This probably won't sound as good, but it is a lot less expensive and is sounding prettt good to me.. Most people listenimg will never know tue difference. I have a different style, which is moatly blues rock ( think 80s metal ballads) and this is perfect with a TC electromic 2290 for ducking delay and eventide micropitch im the loop and thats it giing to a PA. Maybe a direct box with an XLR out and ground switch, but thats just maybe. Of course I have to use my Steve Vai morley wah in front and maybe a keeley compressor for sweetening stuff. ❤ Very cool.. I am using a strat with EMG 85 in the brodge and HA in the neck which is a single coil in a humbucker housing. ❤ It sounds great om this demo for sure. I meed to get a zoom camera for youtube vids. ❤ Thanks so much my Brit friend.. ❤
