Great reaction and great score, it's one of fan favourites and I think that the only person who doesn't like this song is Joakim himself 😂 Swedish Pagans is a song from their album The Art Of War, it was included as a bonus track and nobody in the band, not even Joakim, believed that fans will even remember this song, let alone love it. They never meant to play it live, but at 1 show someone started to sing the intro tune as a joke and Joakim was shocked to see that the crowd actually knows this song and wants to hear it, so they played it. It's been a staple at the concerts ever since and a running joke among the fans and the band. Usually it starts by one of the guitarists (Thobbe before, Tommy now) starting to play the intro tune and rousing up the crowd (who usually chants the intro all through the show between the songs) while Joakim pretends the doesn't want to play this song because "it's not on the setlist", but he has to give in eventually. Joakim doesn't actually hate this song. He did say he is tired of it, and he doesn't consider it one of his best, but he is also proud he wrote something that fans love so much that they have to play it on every show

You're right, it does put a smile on your face, this song. Tina Gao enjoyed herself enough to return for the MV for "Steel Commanders", Sabaton's history of tanks. She's the only survivor in the video 🙂 Not sure you noticed but in a first for Wacken, Sabaton - who celebrated their 20th anniversary, actually had both stages. One was filled with old bandmembers. Wacken celebrated 30 years that year too. For about half the set they had 2 drummers, 3 or 4 guitar players and so on. It shows more clearly in other songs from this set.

I think Pår (the bass player) was walking back and forth between the two podia. For example, at 3:51 in the original video (10:15 in yours), he's walking to the left behind Joakim. This was a 20-year anniversary concert, where they had previous members of Sabaton on a second stage playing.

This is a song the band wrote expecting absolute nothing from, and it turns out to become a fan favorite at concerts..

I don't know how big the crowds for Hans Zimmer Live were? Because Tina Guo is part of that. This was Sabaton's 20th Anniversary show so they played both of the stages simultaneously. The second stage had Pär and former members of Sabaton.

The bass player (Pär) was on the same stage as Tina, Joachim was on the other stage. I don’t know if you noticed it, but the band was playing on both stages at the same time. And on the right hand stage, Tina got most of the attention from the camera at the cost of Pär’s visibility. If you want to know more about that then i can highly recommend you to watch the entire concert. It’s available on KZbin. It’s a great show and you get to see the rest of the dialogue between Joachim and Tina which is quite funny. Have fun!

Sorry to dissapoint you but incorrect. I don´t know for the rest of the show but in this song it´s the "new" Sabaton with Tina and the old members on the other stage. 5.41 in to this reaction you can clearly see it. At one point the video is so perfectly cut from Joakim to the former guitarist that it looks like they are on the same stage.

I love how Sabaton rock. And thank you Dave! It's really uplifting to get a genuine reaction that's not forced or exaggerated. I mean, ok, I can forgive some reactors for exaggerating their reaction if the reaction itself is honest, but I really enjoy your 'what you see is what you get ' plain and honest style. Rock On! 🎸🎸🎸

Fun, feel good reaction to a fun, feel good song about dying in battle 😀 (of course by Viking religion that was literally the only way to get into heaven so I guess from context it makes sense)

Sabaton was using both stages at this performance, I think it was the first time anyone did that at Wacken, as it was there 20th anniversary, they brought out every former member of the band to perform, I bet there was one hell of a party afterwards. So there were multip,e drums, bassist, guitars spread out across the spectacle

@@peterkensborn8035 She wants to, she's been bugging me. It's up to her and her work schedule. She really does work between 80 - 100 hours a week...sometimes more. So when she actually takes a day or 2 off, we'll see if she's feeling up to it.

A beautiful song that flowed into my ears like a river. I think that this song is based on some very old Swedish folk melody, perhaps. Well, as always, DH brightened my day and brought a smile to my face. Great!

This is in my top five favorite songs!!! No one ever mentions it 👍 she’s an animal and einar transports you to another lifetime. I love the look on his face at the end when it’s over and it’s like he actually forgot where he was for a minute, because his whole soul was invested in the song. Such a strong song. If you don’t want to grow a beard and raid a village after that rendition you have no blood in your veins. I think you get a feel of her as a person just by the cello she plays. I’ve never seen anything that badass in a symphony before.
