I find it so cute that we all look like that tiny little lamb in front of God which always wanna do naughty things, jumping here and there, and Jesus (here, David) being the shepherd who sacrifices his life to the save the life of the lamb. Truly marvellous and eternal love of God ❤❤

This is just incredible. As an artist and an aspiring animator, it’s been a dream of mine to see my all-time favorite character, David, be shown with the quality he deserves for an animated movie. His story is so unique with relationships and internal conflict feeling real. David himself is an interesting character. He’s not only a warrior but a musician as well who would recognize the depth of emotion in humanity and the wars men must fight. He’s all kinds of things: warrior, poet, harpist, king, shepherd, outlaw, prophet, father, servant, friend, etc. I can’t stop myself from returning to this demo and admire everything about it. I’ve been so fond of Disney as I had grew up with their animations and other animations like it from different companies such as Pixar and Dreamworks. My dream is to work for Disney but also see a David animated movie in the works. I have always loved, I mean LOVED, the Prince of Egypt, everything about it is outstanding!!!!!! I wish there were more Bible movies like the Prince of Egypt, but the David movie looks promising!!! And I’m totally all in for this. My obsession with David’s story since I was 11 has made me extremely eager to see a David animated movie like this! It’s a childhood dream, I swear, to watch David’s story unfold in quality animation like Disney. I couldn’t get past the few seconds of watching the demo without crying lol. I looked at all the concept art of this movie and I’ve never been so excited!!! I’m 16 but by the time the movie releases I would be in college studying animation. This is truly something to look forward to and I’m in all support of this! If the production goes well and able to be released, it’ll probably be the greatest Christmas/birthday gift (heard it would come out either in the summer of 2024 or at the beginning of 2025) for me as I settle down for college haha ;”) Animation, especially a movie, takes a while to make and I totally understand that and I’m willing to wait! If this hasn't been picked up and put into production yet I am shocked! This is AMAZING! Just in that short clip I was already connected to David and Tali the sheep. Just following David's adventures would provide multiple movies, but if you follow his lineage it just keeps getting better. This is the movies that should be made for our children. Hi David Crosby Our goal is to release the movie in 2025 and we are on track to achieve this goal, provided our investment targets are met. Although animated features typically take 4-7 years to produce the good news is that we are far down the road having, spent $19.6m in production already. Animation has similarities to fruit farming!! With an apple orchard, you need to water and fertilize for 5 years, but then you can harvest fruit for 20 years. Animations take a lot of time and energy to bring to life but done right they can bear fruit for decades.

This is so beautiful. I had tears in my eyes the entire time. The Good Shepherd fearlessly laying down His life for the sheep, how he fell on the rock with outstretched arms (like Jesus on the cross)... As a mom could relate with the "mommy sheep" fearful for her young one but knowing that the Good Shepherd would save her. Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait to see the movie.

The detail is just incredible, such as the embroidered capital design at the base of David's neck opening from the discovered capital at David's palace in the City of David. I'm hooked! The more I know about David, the more I want to know about David. I used to be self-conscious(absorbed) in church. I thought expressive worshippers were attention seekers. Once I learned David was an expressive worshipper, my judgement ceased. I joined the expressive worshippers, and have never looked back! It is great how you show so many of his positive traits in this small clip. I also enjoy the kind of call back to the painting of Jesus hanging off a cliff for a sheep. He leaves the 99! Why don't more animated movies have this much color in their scenes? The night sky alone is GORGEOUS! The average cash-grab always goes for lame photo-realism, when you could always just go for high-quality visuals without muting the color. I think it's a sign of creative bankruptcy. Hollywood hires the most uncreative people sometimes. Thank goodness for independent projects. Also, Phil Vischer would be impressed.

I was in my office and fell upon this short film by KZbin recommendation. I watched and enjoyed it. To make a long story short, I decided to watch it together with my three children who are 6, 4, and 2. Oh, boy did I not know how they would react after 5 minutes. They didn't hear I said, “a short film.” Keyword, short 😊 They were expecting a full movie so when it ended after 5 minutes, they all got mad and started crying 😡 They, we can't wait for the full movie. Like everyone mentioned in the Bible, David was a real person, not a "character". "Character" is a word used when discussing FICTIONAL literature and film. To give an example: when you read a historical book or biography/autobiography, they don't refer to "characters". A book or a film about Lincoln, Napoleon, Alexander the Great or Socrates never refers to them as "characters". Hi Heather Bosshardt, Thank you so much for the support and excitement! Our goal is to release the movie in 2025 and we are on track to achieve this goal, provided our investment targets are met. Although animated features typically take 4-7 years to produce the good news is that we are far down the road having, spent $19.6m in production already. Animation has similarities to fruit farming!! With an apple orchard, you need to water and fertilize for 5 years, but then you can harvest fruit for 20 years. Animations take a lot of time and energy to bring to life but done right they can bear fruit for decades.

Hey, this video has been out for “seven” months and there is now over “seven” million dollars invested in “Express Interest in the David Movie” on Angel Studios. Just wanted to point that out. The Lord works in mysterious ways. And may He guide you all further with this life giving project. The world certainly/faithfully needs more of this. Really lovely work. Animation, especially 3D animation, is really difficult to do well. Capturing emotion is very hard in this medium, as models can look plastic and alien if you don't get it juuuuust right. The uncanny valley is real, but you stay out of it and have created some beautiful characters with sublime detail (the bruises on his body when he returns in the evening, for instance, capture his fatigue and pain well, and make that exhausted sigh feel far more sincere.) Too often, animation studios on a budget tell rather than show, but you are doing this right. Please tell your animation team you can really see their heart in this. You are also handling challenging subject material very well. Religious stories, from any faith background, can easily feel clunky, preachy, heavy handed, or pandering. To tell a story like this with sincerity, and to not come off as proselytizing or pressuring people into conversion is a testament to your intentions. I can tell that all of you have the goal to tell a story that has profound meaning to *you*, and that you will allow that story to speak for itself. You do not package up the message, even in this short clip, in a clunky bit of dialogue, or push an agenda. You have faith, clearly, but it is not forceful or overbearing, just gentle and steady. I am a deist Christian, and do not particularly seek out religious content. I believe faith is deeply personal and pushing others to share your faith does not account for their own journey (it just comes off as a bit intrusive). You have to let people come to their faith in their own time, and trust them to take what they need from others as they explore profoud wuestions. The stories in the Bible, the Talmud, the Quran, and other holy books can resonate with people from all backgrounds because they allow others to come as they are without imposing expectations. Too often, religious content creators mistake the call to spread the Word as a call to push others, rather than to simply live as an example of their moral and religious beliefs. Based on this clip, I am confident you will create a beautiful, sincere example of how to live within the bounds of a greater set of values, rather than a command to adhere to a narrow vision of what a Christian or Jew must be. I have a feeling this will be comparable to Prince of Egypt, which is easily one of the most beautiful animated films I have ever seen (up there with the work of Studio Ghibli, Pixar, and Cartoon Saloon). It is the only other religion-based movie I can think of that has this same sense of sincerity and unpretentious, calm faith. Given your work here, I am confident your film will be equally beautiful in terms of animation and music. From a not particularly religious animated film lover, thank you. Keep up the lovely work, and please don't lose track of the warmth and sincerety that is driving you!
