Alexie Toledo disagree with what part, cause it’s all true. If you disagree with the anger part, I can understand. In the Old Testament God was much more aggressive, but even then, he was pretty patient. He was annoyed at how long his people had been enslaved, and how evil Egypt was. When he decided to use Moses, only for him to talk back, he got REALLY annoyed, but in the end he utilized Moses in incredible ways.
@dcfreak325 жыл бұрын
@@williambarrantes1674 I don't think he's compassionate and therefore not rich in love. Definitely not slow to anger. If he was so annoyed by slavery, how come later he established the rules for it? @williambarrantes16745 жыл бұрын
Alexie Toledo if you’re referring to servitude in ancient times, that is not nearly like the slavery you think it’s like. Yes people were sometimes forced to become servants due to debts or being POW’s, but they were fed, clothed, and taken care of, so it was basically like being maids or cooks and stuff like that. No Godly person in the Bible ever treated someone like the slaves of recent times. Take for example Joseph, who was actually sold as a slave due to his brothers jealousy. He was a slave to Potiphar, yet he worked hard and became steward of the house. Even slaves could get raises and better positions. Slavery back then was a lot different from now, at least for Christians. Obviously the Egyptians weren’t too nice to their slaves but God didn’t like that
@williambarrantes16745 жыл бұрын
Alexie Toledo I also see that you’re commenting in other places, saying things against God. Listen man, whatever your going through, don’t get mad at him. I know sometimes it sucks, but if you don’t believe in him, at least don’t speak out against him. Try to be a good person, and once you realize that there is more to life than just maybe 100 years, he’ll come to you. You just have to let him in

I love how they gave God the same voice as Moses in this movie. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense. He is a living presence that can be felt, and heard murmuring to our hearts... but not with our ears, because God speaks to the soul instead. Furthermore... No one truly knows what God actually sounds like. The fact that the people behind this film were respectful and humble enough not to cast anyone to directly voice God Himself makes me appreciate it even more. It's both clever and brilliant.

@@eliasziad7864I disagree, respectfully. To me, one who believes in God and has recently come home to him from a life of torment and sin, it is accurate to my ears for humans to scratch the surface of what God might sound like by using ALL of the voice actors in this film at once or a choir of voices together. I say this not in argument to you, sir. I understand that it is very clear, pretending that God could have a human voice in an animated movie meant to educate, could be seen as blasphemy… if you have your eyes closed with negativity and pessimism. To me, it is not blasphemy to have many human voices in place of the script lines written into this movie, and in fact might be the ONLY correct, humble way to portray God’s talk with Moses. Because God’s word tells us that he speak through his followers. He speaks THROUGH mankind the ones who recognize him as our father. I am of the opinion that God would approve of the message in this movie being crafted the only humble way humans might know to portray him without meaning offense to our father. Indeed, if you look at this from a loving, devoted, kind, and optimistic perspective of this movie and story, then you would see how beautiful and humble and wonderful this scene is in something as little in God’s eyes as a drawn movie to help little children understand the story of just ONE of the humans God spoke through: Moses. I type this, not to offend you sir, and I hope you read this with an open mind. Just simply trying to provide a more positive example as you seemed distressed thinking that God would be offended by his children trying to find the most humble and respectful way to portray his voice on our physical plain for the purpose of spreading his word and story further in this modern age. There is no need to feel so negatively, I know it in my heart, in my soul, that this must be the only respectful way to portray our Father’s voice: by using the voices of his children, the followers that he biblically speaks through.

(Idk if you're Christian of Muslim, but if your Christian - maybe my comment would help you feel a little better❤) I'm not native speaker so I don't quite understand what "struggling with the faith" means, bit if it's "being about to stop believing" - I understand this. I have a really bad habit: to force myself into a corner bc of any reason. Sometimes the reason was about my faith. I remember how I asked: "Am I even a believer? I don't feel anything, but I kinda admit the Bible is true... what if I only wanted to be believer but not really am?". Another time I felt like I was turning into another religion. I didn't want it but for some reasons I couldn't convince what the Christianity IS the truth. At both situations, I got tired and just left it to God cause He said "neither shall anyone snatch them out of My Father's hand" (John 10:29). And it helped! He kept me safe! And them I asked about other my worries He hepled also! So, I believe He will (even if He didn't yet) help you. He loves YOU and won't let you to forget Him❤ Hope you're okay now❤

Also, like elitadream said below, and Daniel Kalban, it is not just one voice, but the whole cast, or a big amount of it, and the most prominent voice is played by Moses' voice actor, probably to simulate God speaking to his soul and not his ears. They pay respect to the fact that no one has heard God's voice and knows what it sounds like, so he is hearing it through his own inner voice, sort of. I only just found out it is the same person though. I'm not sure it is the same way in the Danish dub. But it is a wonderful detail in the original dub :)

I tear up every time. Here, Moses really lacked faith in himself, but in doing so he doubted the Lord. The Lord reminded Moses here "Remember who I am and what I have done! What reason do you have to doubt yourself when I do not doubt you?" Even if Moses's faith in his own ability is lacking, his faith in his guide, the Lord, shall be enough. I strive to apply this to other people as well, who were made in God's image. My older brother is teaching me about computer hardware, something I have always thought I would never be able to do. But who built his own computer? Who learned the necessary hardware and software, and earned a job at Epic Games? Was it not my brother? How can I claim to know that I can't learn, when a man who knows so much more than me tells me I can? It is such a powerful message that it can reach down to the most mundane level, to the most basic of human relationships...

That's why I think it's so crucial the film put in the scene afterward with Tzipporah. Moses has just seen God--the most incredible experience a person can witness. What's the very first thing he does after? Run home and tell his wife about it, of course! It shows that while Moses has been called by God to be His prophet, Moses is still _a person,_ and reacts in a realistic, believable way to his experience.

So capable and powerful, yet simultaneously gentle and filled with love. To date, in my opinion, there has been no better image of God in media than here. It is a reminder that yes: we are to fear our maker. But he is eternal love, and we may always find comfort and guidance with him. In all aspects, God is our father. He is strong and he will punish us when we are wrong... but not without reminding us of his boundless forgiveness and compassion. Our God is an awesome god!

Just think, the one speaking to Moses is the one who became our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or Yeshua. He is the God of the Old Testament. It's an amazing and humbling thing to realize that the entire purpose of the Old Testament, the Law, the Prophets, etc. is to lead us to Christ or the Messiah which was 1st prophesized in Gen 3:15 in the Garden of Eden. The purpose of the lamb in the Passover symbolized the lamb of God which is again Jesus Christ. The disciples of Jesus were first Jewish and that's where they became known as Christians afterwards. Rio Grace Madridejos: it was so good and so sweet i love that I guess no one has shown this to you yet, you're gonna need a minute after this... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZi8lKdtqcqWqc0 I wish someone had shared this with me, make sure you understand and experience what it means to be "born again". Last summer I saw a video that changed my life...seriously. Ordinary people doing amazing things that I couldn't explain. I went to church until I was 17, but I didn't know if God was real. I stopped going when college/work started, I was more interested in living life and having fun. I still called myself a "Christian" but my life didn't look much different than my friends that weren't believers, and I still struggled with sin. But the people in the videos I saw were different, they were true men/women of God living holy lives and walking in power. kzbin.info/www/bejne/baScdaCaopudprs I'm 37 and only two years ago did I experience what it means to be born again(repent, baptized, receive Holy Spirit). Before this experience I was only interested in myself, and what I could experience and do to find pleasure and fulfillment in this world. What I found was emptiness and a lack of peace, caused by searching for fulfillment in work, money, sex, drugs, stuff, etc. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqvZZWeAq9qHp80 After experiencing Jesus I am able to see what a self absorbed life I was living. Someone so obsessed with things of the flesh/body, that I was completely oblivious to the state of my spirit and that no matter how much temporary pleasure I experienced in my body in this world I was spiritually dead and separated from a loving God. Only after having my relationship restored with God through Jesus, did I experience peace/freedom and realize my true identity as a child of God. No longer having to be a slave of the flesh and sin, caused by being born as a descendant of Adam/Eve. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ7KhoOqZ7B8Zpo I was born again spiritually by receiving the Holy Spirit, and through this I was transformed and inherited Gods character/nature...one not focused so much on the flesh/body but now living and walking in the spirit. The process of being born again is to evolve past self, sin and carnality - to serve others and become more like God who is spirit and Holy. When you're focused on the flesh/body this is a very selfish way to live. When you "give Jesus the wheel" and recognize what He did for us on the cross, you have the opportunity to allow Jesus to live through you and finish what He started. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGmqYoarpsxqmaM Jesus said "He who seeks to save his life will lose it, but he who loses his life for my sake will find it." This life is a dress rehearsal and we are showing God what kind of people we are. Are we willing to make things right with God, be born again and follow Jesus, or will we continue living in sin, our own will and live a self focused life. One of these lead to death and the other leads to eternal life, it's up to us to choose if we will accept Jesus or deny Him. Jesus said in John 3 unless you are born again you cannot enter Heaven. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJzEZXeLjsp9a8k God wants to restore the relationship with us that was broken due to sin because He loves us. But God is also a good judge and can't let sin go unpunished. The only way He can do both is if...someone pays the fine. If you're in court and someone pays the fine the judge can let you go. So God became a man(Jesus) 2000 years ago and paid the fine for our sins. Jesus' last words were "it is finished" meaning the fine has been paid, that's what happened on the cross. God can now legally dismiss our case, commute our death sentence and we can live forever with Him in Heaven! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoe4ZH2FeamJmK8 What we have to do is repent - not just ask for forgiveness but turn from living in sin. When we repent and trust in Jesus to pay the fine for our sins, instead of trusting in ourselves by trying to be a good person - He becomes our "savior". Many people will try to enter Heaven by just being a good person but it won't work. Try using that in court "Judge I broke the law but I did some good stuff too, I'm innocent right?" It won't work on Earth and it won't work in Heaven, you will be found guilty and will have to pay the fine. When we also "give Jesus the wheel" and allow Him to direct our lives like a GPS - He also becomes our "Lord". By having a saving relationship with Jesus as Lord and savior we can be "born again". kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX-Vqamnf5t5mLM The experience of being born again is when you become a child of God. Just like when you are born you inherit your parents genetics, when you are born again and receive the Holy Spirit you inherit Gods character/nature. Anything else is just spiritually dead religion/tradition. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqWUl32wba2AhdE Many so called "Christians" are not born again and their lives are no different than a non believers, they still struggle with sin. You wouldn't let just anyone into your house and God isn't going to let just anyone into Heaven only His children. Jesus said the road to Heaven is narrow, hard and difficult and only a few are going to make it. Hope that made sense, God bless. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6apd5-HqLhkj8k

Bible says we are transformed into the image of Christ from glory to glory, if your life doesn't look like Jesus you need to really question if you are born again. 1 John 3:9 makes it clear no one who is born again continues in habitual sin, we repent and don't do it again.

@@TedEhioghae ,don't try to indoctrinate him, he can have one, religion and church aren't bad in themselves, we humanity make them bad and separate, I'm catholic and I respect and know that my relationship with God, my faith and belief are the most important things so I don't take going to church as obligatory but having and strengthening and understanding my relationship with God through Him, not just the book, but Him as a being and person present in my life, interacting with Him directly and trusting Him to give me the answers that I seek directly too through my heart by speaking to Him and not just the book, even He uses music a lot with me, a relationship with God is very personal and uses different thing with all, those who want to and really try to listen to Him even if the don't like it or understand, there are many Christians in general that don't do that and that makes me sad, so judging and hateful behind a facade of "love" and "mercy", basically the formula "what I don't understand is bad and evil and only are saved the ones that are and believe everything exatly like me" or "they are not like, so then the must be evil", so sure they seem to be of their salvation, but they could be the ones that get surprised in the end since the judge and the one who decides and saves, the one who is absolutely good and separates good and evil and gives us His mercy and salvation is Him, not us to others, we don't decide, even if God uses us and we can help, we always make mistakes, we are not the saviors and many seem to forget that, that's why we must be respectful to others unless is something that really is bad, never forgetting morality and good and evil, I have a strong moral compass and I don't care mingling with everyone, it doesn't matter to me where you come from, how you were born, your sexuality or religion, you can still be bad or good, sinful or not like any Christian, I'll respect, and God is the judge who judges and separates evil and sin from good, Christ is the savior, God, not us, he knows will be save and who not, all we can do is hope in Him, the world is crumbling, people are fightling for every stupidity, comitting the same mistakes that have repitted themselves again and again throughout history and we never learn, instead of uniting and forgeting our small differences to fight for something better and against a greater and true evil, we are separating from others even more and creating much more fights, war and hate, this isn't good and it seems it only will get worse, even if we are in the end times I hope it will all be over the sooner the better and God will make things good and will create order and bring true justice and judgement, not ours, all of this makes me sad and hurts

To you two who are trying to rope him in to your spiritual doctrines, you are not helping him. And specifically to the person who said “just obey the Bible” that is precisely the opposite of what a person seeking greater spiritual understanding and comfort in their life should do. And to you, Lucas, the path you now walk is similar to the one that I walked along not too long ago. Speaking from experience, the best way to gain greater spiritual understanding is to read into the world like a poem. Look to the chaos of the world. Understand the intent behind the creation of a world incapable of accommodating our delusions of perfection and order, how it allows us to find our own fulfillment and meaning in life without knowing a higher being was breathing down our necks, and learn to embrace and thrive off of the chaotic and imperfect nature of our world. Perhaps most importantly, study other religions and philosophies. Plenty of atheists and nihilists I’ve seen online say things along the lines of “they can’t all be right but they can all be wrong.” But the key is that no one ever knows the full truth. That’s the point. But few people have the entire picture wrong. Taoism and Buddhism contain valuable teachings about learning to be at peace with the world and cast aside material desires. Shinto delves into how spiritual connectivity with the world can lead to an understanding of things beyond their physical appearances and their description by man. Countless faiths exist throughout the world, and all of them have something valuable to teach. Don’t tie yourself down to one particular group. Continually grow and change as you learn more and enlighten yourself. And most importantly, learn to live without certainty. This may seem like an absurd or foolish proposition, but it’s the most important thing I’ve said. One cannot believe they are certain of something without lying to themselves. Our minds and senses play tricks on us, and how exactly can we truly prove the world isn’t a gigantic illusion created by our own minds? Well, we really can’t. Don’t try to be certain. Learn to be confident in yourself and your ideas without being certain. It will make life more enjoyable, and it will allow you to be fully honest with yourself.

I’m not Jewish but I know that means “praise be the name” or am I wrong? Jesus has pointed me to the 5 Books of Moses and even made me observe the sabbath.

In times of loss, pain or when I feel alone and doubtful, I watch such movie scenes. Faith gives hope.
