I don't think it is fair to blame Kamala Harris for Trump winning. She very suddenly was thrown into the DNC leadership position with only 4 months left in the race, and quite honestly, she did an impressive job. Even her rallies were considerably more lively than Trump's for example. She also attended hundreds and hundreds of interviews, both on pro-DNC networks and pro-RNC networks, with very little time to prepare. She also clearly won the presidential debate against Trump. I do think there should have been a quick leadership race, but I blame that on Biden more than Harris. In hindsight you can always find things that could have been done better. If Harris had won and we were analyzing Trump's loss, we could find MANY more mistakes that he made compared to Harris. Also, while Trump likes to claim he won a landslide victory over Harris, claim he received the outright majority of votes and claim he has a clear mandate to enact his insane project 2025 agenda; none of that is factual. In fact, in many of the critical battleground states, Harris's loss was only a fraction of a percentage point. For example, Trump won by just over 230,000 votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. If just over 115,000 voters in that group had instead picked Harris, she would have won those Rust Belt swing states, giving her enough votes in the electoral college to win the presidency. Although it is difficult to calculate, I think everyone also accepts that there was a reduction in votes for Harris for the simple reason she is a woman. Similarly there is a reduction in votes because she is black. I wouldn't be surprised at all if a white man, instead of Harris, was thrust into the race and performed an identical campaign, if he would have won. Another disadvantage Harris had is she didn't have the nearly 10 years of public exposure Trump had. Finally, if the US had honest news networks, that truthfully shared how US citizens would be impacted by political policies, that too would likely have provided a win for Harris. Ultimately, instead of blaming Harris, you should simply be asking what could have been done better and what SHOULD be done both now and before the next election.
