I am a California resident. In 2016 my husband and I received voting information. He died in May before the June primary election. When I voted I could tell that his name had been removed because our names had been on the voter roll for our precinct next to each other. At first it was painful to note, but after I voted and was walking home, I had time to process it and realized I was quite pleased that the county registrar had corrected the voter rolls so promptly.
