For those wondering where and what this festival is, it's the renowned PALP Festival in Switzerland, which runs from April to September in the Swiss Alps. The concept ? As you can see, it's all about talented musicians and breathtaking landscapes, no massive stages, no booming speakers, no extravagant light shows, and no huge crowds, just the essentials. And let me tell you, as someone from Switzerland who's attended many music festivals, including Hellfest, Wacken and Tomorrowland, none of them, I mean none, make you appreciate the bands the way this festival does. It's pure, sincere, and deeply emotional and musical moment engrave in your heart.

Don't know much about the trade but i would imagne such an open space would be challenging to get good sound from. You did a killer job. Not to mention getting all the gear up there without the option of running to the shop to pick something up. Damn fine work !

They were in Switzerland and not Banff LOL! I have a number of relatives from Saskatchewan and after growing up on the flat prairies, they were always apprehensive about being in the mountains. The two observations that I remember - the weather changes "sneak" up on you in the mountains and you can fall off a mountain. I wonder if any of the band members where apprehensive about this elevation?

I slept in places like this, and it turns out it is Heaven. I slept in a hammock tied between a lone tree and a large bolder I roped off to. A Ring-tailed Cat visited a couple of times, walking on me. Then sleep came. The other mountain top in Colorado a wild horse was just born as we entered the forest at the tree line. White Glaciers above us in late August feeding the streams. It was a memorable bucket list check off item. One mountain had a snow storm blowing UP instead of down
