I had the chance to meet him twice when he visit Singapore for the Michael Jackson gig and then Phil Collins. As we carried Remo products and he's one of the endorsee, he brought us to the stage 30 minutes before the show to view his set up. what a gentleman... RIP Ricky

Such a tight and smooth groove. Ricky had such great feel. He was a true virtuoso who played with so many greats. Never one to overplay. I wish he woulda gotten more acclaim and attention than he did. Very under-appreciated drummer outside of the musician world. More Ricky Lawson videos please!!

He with sugarfoot are the N° 1 but i prefer more ricky than sugarfoot because he´s more faster and technique and he makes michael dance more faster and more sophisticated and sugarfoot is more slower and technique
