One big point she forgot is the greeting protocol. You don't extend a hand to greet an elderly or more senior person when you meet..it's disrespectful. The person is the one to offer the hand.

In actuality most of these acts don't really attract the frowns as said but I will advise any visitor to take them serious. Ghanaians will actually lecture you on these things if they know you are a visitor or stranger. Use of hands during conversation or interaction is actually a common practice here. The civilization rate is very high even though we still keep to the culture 100%. In a nut shell ; we treat all strangers with outmost respect and teach them what they ought to know.

That statement shouldn’t be taken literal. Elders being always right is tied to “you don’t talk back when an elder is speaking”. Whether what they’re saying is true or not, JUST LISTEN and leave. You can’t tell them they are wrong IN THAT MOMENT. - HOWEVER, you can revisit the conversation at a later time and respectfully let them know that you carefully thought about what they said. SPIN IT BACK TO THEM by asking if they’ve also thought about it differently. Then you share what you think is the right approach RESPECTFULLY.

If you see an elder coming or going down a stairs, you wait, you don't walk past them, it's a disrespect, You don't walk past an adult to a room You wait for them to go in first. @@TheDemouchetsREACT Alright, late last year, I was having a conversation about things the youth take for granted these days with my mum, a friend and a ABUSUAPANYIN (Elder or leader of an extended family). The elder said, in the old days even if you are a lefthander you can't eat or drink with your left hand on a table with people because someone would try to test you spiritually to see how fortified you are spiritually. Also when you find any voodoo stuff in front of your door, house, shop etc, you pick it up with your left hand after doing some rituals with the help of a priest or yourself if you can. You can take or give something to a person using your left hand if you are a higher position or much older than the person.

About the fighting, people do fight but it’s not something that they are use to. The most thing they do is arguing. They will argue to the point of fighting but they will be separated. So the fighting is there, but not often it’s very had to see people fighting. People get into arguments and they might exchange insults and you will see this same people with in a short period hugging and laughing and giggling after all that argument.and this is why Ghana is very very very peaceful and kind people with a good heart. A Ghanaian person who give you their food and go hungry trust me.
