With Ashanti's being quite, they have an adage that says "Ahwene pa Enkasa" which means ‘good waist beads do not make noise’. This is a common proverb among Ghanaians (Ashantis) which implies you should let your deeds or character speak for you, in other words: don’t be arrogant, it’s not attractive - let your achievements speak for themselves!

1.Cece the Ashantis are not typically quiet but they are more quiet than the Ga people. 2. It is a cultural thing to eat from one bowl. The eldest is allowed to take meat or fish first before the rest. Do not cross over to pick food in front of another person while yall are eating. It's considered disrespectful. 3. The youngest on the table is left with the last bit and he clears the bowls from the table and clean the spills on the floor and park the table and chairs away. Ashantis like the rest of all the ethnic groups in Ghana are very welcoming

one of my favorite dish as a ghanaian. Not only taste and easy to prepare but very nutricious. The leaves you see are blood purifier. Mothers who just deliver eat that for a week or so to purify their blood. So these people in that region hardly sick, not over weight in the men or women. The food is straight from the farm to the table. No refrigeration. 2days old vegetable in the market will not sell.

large markets in Ghana are normally located around major centers where people.from different places come to pick buses and cars to move to incredibly long distances. there are smaller markets like the one this guy finds himself at where you can quickly grab a few basic things and head back quickly home.

The last bite is usually for whoever is going to wash the bowls which is usually the duty of the youngest😂 As for the history of Ghana, you need to be ready to know that you will be delving into the topic most people do not want to talk about, which is slavery. We do have a lot of other things that make up our history but the trans-atlantic slave trade is a big part, just so you know. It would actually be nice if you covered it. The Ashantis played a huge role in it, in a good way and we respect them for that. I am not an Ashanti by the way but a proud Ghanaian from the North of Ghana, who would be even more proud if this was covered. Thank you for you reactions per usual. God loves you and bless you.
