That's an awesome theory and likely possibility! Steve Rogers' return as not Cap but official Nomad would give room for Sam Wilson's Captain America to breathe and shine, at the same time it would allow us to have back Steve Rogers who we love. At the same time, a show featuring Steve and Peggy returning the infinity stones could be a follow-up series to the beloved fan favorite TV series, Agent Carter, albeit in a different timeline/universe. The choice to bring back RDJ would likely have made it exciting for Chris Evans to want to return long-term too, and that could prove in the next 5-10 years to be a master move and game changer for Marvel.

Ok here is my crazy theory - The reason why Steve gets back as old man is because he met Doom and made a deal with him, just like other Avengers will. That deal created either alternate versions of Nomad, OR he actually already fought the Avengers and witnessed Doomsday, but got sent back to 616 Peggy to honor the deal. So after helping Doom he got sent back in time to Peggy, was her secret husband all along and resurfaced after Avengers defeated Thanos.

Independent if there is a Nomad show, I think this is the most likely scenario: Cap’s time suit gets stolen when he visits and stays with Peggy, it is then used as a basis for new futuristic society that is realized by the 1960s- yes, Cap is now in upcoming F4 universe. He eventually gets the time suit back and then visits Sam at end of Endgame. But when Dr. Doom appears in 616 universe, old man Cap has to visit Sam again and dump some exposition about the other universe he was living in.

Marvel truly needs to take its time after the release of Thunderbolts. I really don’t want a one phase main villain with Doom. Whether they extend this story into the “mutant saga” or not, I would prefer them release 5 major works to tell the Secret Wars story just a tad bit better. Those 5 being a Spider-Man story, a Dr Strange story, an Xmen story (Feige just go ahead and use most of the Fox actors, let them have one last hurrah with their own film and subsequent appearances in the Avengers films), a supernatural story like Blade or Midnight Sons with Mephisto in order to set up Doom and Mephisto’s connection, and finally a cosmic story that deals with Thor StarLord and The Eternals storylines. All of that would cover everything we need to have for a GREAT MCU secret wars. I just don’t want them to do Doom incorrectly and have him introduced and defeated all in the same phase (unless it’s extended - I would rather them just move to a phase 7 that serves as an interlude phase before the “mutant saga” starts with phase 8). It truly would not hurt Marvel to do it that way; as it doesn’t matter if all the sagas have the same number of phases (that’s why I say call it an “interlude”), do a phase 7 that allows you to create all the films and series you need to tell this story properly before hitting the reset button. Finally, I thought RDJ as Doom was a great idea but unless they can get all six original actors to portray an evil version of their character, they don’t need to be Doom’s elite guard. I’d prefer a Kid or King Thanos to lead the group (Kid could be played by Harry Styles as well to show a family resemblance and then with King, they could have him eventually betray God Emperor Doom in order to play out the infamous scene from the comics); Ultron would be in charge of all things science and technology; Dark Phoenix (played by Famke Jansen) as a cosmic being; Killmonger for extra brute strength (preferably the Killmonger we know with maybe a Celestial powered suit instead of him being a full on Celestial like Arishem); and finally either Clea or Mordo to be in charge of magical affairs. This way it would be closer to the Multiversal group he had from the comics.

So the time heist contradicts itself, they claimed that the hollywood style time travel isn't how it works but after they have taken the stones and hammer from the past those timelines now branched off, so when cap goes back and puts everything back then it should in theory just branch a 2nd time since you can't alter timelines, simply put every change makes a branch whether or not you "fix it" afterwards

In my opinion, the msheu had 4 years to give the new characters a shot. Falcon and winter soldier was a prime example. They went with a dangerous Fad in 2020 and 2021 and they paid for it because we, the fans, refused to pay for it. And we Wil not pay for it again until it is set right and gets back to status quo. In the comics, yes, other people have been Cap or Thor or whoever. I'd the books sucked, they were canceled just like the ALL new ALL different era was canceled. The comics have not recovered from 2014 ANAD Marvel and that was 11 years ago. Feige needs to get creative people back into writing and directing roles like the Russo's, though the Russos have screwed up some too. What they did to hulk and banner, fat thor, killing off Tony and Natasha... They need to get back on track and get back to Cap AM Wintersolider.
