It frustrated Michael so much NO ONE could just pop up to Neverland. Saddest part is when Michael passed Janet and LaToya went to the house where he died grabbing money, filling garbage bags of his belongings. Basic scavenger styff. If you read the bodyguards' book, Remember The Time, you will recall the line one of the bodyguards said which is 'dealing with the Jackson family was the most confusing aspect of our job being a bodyguard for Michael. You would think family is the closest people to you, but for some reason, it was the hardest part of our job interacting with them.' Michael wanted to stay as far as he could from his brothers/sisters and overall Jackson family- Katherine was the only exception. I’m always one to give Jermaine his props and the rest of the brothers. Jermaine was extremely talented and his solo albums were pretty good they just weren’t pushed as well. Jermaine is consistent as hell. Outside forces tried & continue to try to crack that family unity. The siblings fight & get on each other's nerves but when all is said & done, THEY ARE TOGETHER. Remember, it was BROTHER RANDY who got Michael in contact with Tom Mesereau, the lawyer who saved Michael from the kangaroo court Tom Sneddon tried to snare him in. The family came to that courtroom in all dressed in White UNIFIED. The family always said they were trying to get through that barrier between Michael & Michael's circle. The barrier began forming after the move from Motown & definitely by Off The Wall after Michael removes Joe as manager. But Thriller is when that barrier became almost insurmountable. Too much fame forced Michael into seclusion. Even from his own family. And he kept looking for outside families to befriend to get that family feeling back. Once his brothers & sisters grew up & had families of their own, it would never be the same as the old days. Michael hated when his brothers got married & moved out in the Jackson 5 days. In a strange way, Michael's Witchhunts forced him to reforge bonds with his family again. When his professional life had a setback, it was an opportunity for his personal life to repair. His fans are a family too but way too crazy for a proper family life. He needed to stay bonded to his blood family. Success cracked the Jackson Family, there's no doubt about it. But the Jacksons are not broken. Katherine made sure of that. She holds that whole family together to this day. Jermaine remembers what it was all about.

Jermaine wanted that the family stays always together. Michael had to follow his own career, to develop his own style of music and dance moves. He had to break away from the family to find his own unique, authentic way of creativity. The only Jackson brother ( excluding Michael and MAYBE Randy) who didn't cheat was Marlon Jackson. He and his wife Carol are still very much so together and happily married, Jackie cheated with Paula Abdul on his wife Enid Arden Spann but I can't be sure about others, maybe, maybe not 🤔. It wasn't all Michael, the family was dysfunctional and Michael put distance between him and his brothers for a good reason. If Michael didn't step away and do his own thing they would have held him back to no end, he was already feeling the pressure at the start of the 80's when he waned to branch out on his own. Michael was always close to his Mother and he never stopped supporting his family financially, but his brothers did a lot of things that affected him throughout his life so I don't blame him for needing space fro them. Every time they did get together MJ was pressured to have some reunion tour with them because they wanted the money, even going as far as getting his mother to try and talk him into certain business deals that weren't good for MJ. There was a lot of pressure put on him and he did the right thing in keeping some distance in my opinion.

He was nurturing and supportive to Tito's sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ. He was their mentor and he signed them to his label MJ Productions. I do understand that Michael didn't wanted to be always responsible for the financial problems of his brothers. They always wanted something from him. They behaved almost like all the other people in Michael's life. It's so clear to me, that this was a big problem in Michael's life. The brothers often asked Katherine to ask Michael for more and more money because they had house payments, child supports...Michael didn't want to provide them with a life long financial support. Michael didn't include his father and brothers in his will. Michael's father demanded a monthly allowance from the Michael Jackson Estate. So, yes, I fully support your statements!

Michael on the other hand knew that his career with his brother would always be limited. Michael didn't want to have nothing to do with the family, he wanted to follow his dreams. He needed to express himself through music and dance. He was so much more than just an artist. Michael knew he had to follow his self-transformation. He had so much more potential and he wanted to live it. That has nothing to do with the family. He wanted to be true to himself, to be in his authentic self. They often had regular family meetings. I love them ...the Jacksons. They were in our house on the 'record player', loud and in effect every day (when my parents would go to work), we would jam out with them! Their songs and style were mimicked in talent shows and their songs were always being sung on the school bus, and everybody picked a favorite and wanted to be just like him (or her...with Janet) I was no exception. On dreamy summer nights me and my sisters would lay across the bed and listen to them and talk about which one was the cutest, or could sing the best. Our walls and notebooks always had a picture of them. We sang along, practiced harmony, and today it still is a factor when I sing. We picked and laughed and sang along, and got quiet and attentive when the ballads were knocked out. We felt like they really liked us and cared about us as fans.... Well, we are all grown now. Like them, our brother and our father (and unlike them, our mother) are transcended, so we are three less. They are fortunate to still have their mother in their grown years.....But we still love them very much...even if they don't know it....and can't in any way return that same feeling. its okay...because, at any time I can go to my media of choice and pull them up and reminisce. The only thing I wish I would have done is have more videos of my brother, who is now gone, and my own folks. I have one of David, that I listen to when I want to hear his voice. It must be fantastic to be able to hear them (Michael, and Joe) after they are now gone. Families matter.... and no publicity or no people can pull them apart or replace what they have for each other.

Sometimes I feel like MJ fans don’t have families with the way they treat MJ’s brothers. That’s how families are, they argue and fight from time to time but at the end of the day they stick together and they truly love and care for each other. I honestly believe if MJ remained closer to his family instead of isolating himself from them, his like life would’ve gone in a different (and better) route. Joe Jackson was furious at Jermaine for choosing Berry Gordy over him telling Jermaine 'It's my blood running through your veins and not Berry Gordy's'. Jermaine goes and sleeps and marries his brother's (Randy) girlfriend bearing children with her. How wicked can you be? Jermaine can easily sell his family off for private gain as this probably triggered Michael to cut ties with them. Even now Jermaine doesn't tour with his brother's as they have now become a trio of Jackie, Tito and Marlon. He was definitely jealous of Michael as he craved for the same global following and mass market appeal. Michael unfortunately attempted saint hood by cutting off his family and basking himself with Hollywood thinking he was 'Jesus'. The very race he tried to become, framed and villified him ultimately leading to his death. Even though he had his issues with his father, Joe Jackson was the only one who could keep Michael sane, but he listened and sought comfort in the likes of Brooke Shields, Frank Dileo and Elizabeth Taylor to name a few thinking they viewed him as an equal. Katherine Jackson never saw eye to eye with Elizabeth Taylor, once quipping that she stole her son away from her. It's actually the other away around, Michael replaced Taylor with his own mother even though publicly praising Katherine. Michael had the talent, but he lacked foresight and was carried away by his own fame and fortune. This was Michael Jackson's own doing.

Jermaine was a kid when he left the Jacksons due to marriage. You cannot sat that there was some great Machiavellian motive behind it.
