There is a common theme that run through humanity, which is, work on your dreams, act on your ideas, keep going. Those perceived to be at the top worked to get there, failure is a learning process. Stop beating yourself up. The beauty of these podcast is that it brings knowledge and wisdom right to your screen.

I think this is the most realistic speaker, I have listened to on this Channel maybe because he makes himself vulnerable to let us know nobody knows everything (his questions on social media). I could be be biased because I am in his age generation. However the presenter also lets us all know , nearly all the time, success is never the result of designed activity in the beginning but of flukes and luck that happen due to consistently trying and pushing.

Love these podcasts, they simply give you an inside of these brilliant minds, which also struggle, fail and still have a different perspective which leads them to move on, challenge their thinking and having the courage to strive in different fields. This is highly inspiring, especially for people coming out of a dark period and finding the drive to have 'a journey with meaning' again. Thank you!

Then crew coordination was born. Where everyone has an equal say when it comes to flight safety. I was in the US Army in Bosnia in 1997 as a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic and crew chief. We flew in the snow one day and there were times where I was the only person that could see the ground. Our crew coordination and communication is what kept us alive that day. I wrote an article in the Army Knowledge magazine November 2011 about that day. I love Diary of a CEO. I don’t watch TV, I watch KZbin channels that can educate me. This is my everyday listen. So much great information. Thank you Steve!

Stephan, I have said the same thing about football kit and how we choose 'teams'. It has devolved us into a we versus they mentality that cripples us in communication and thought. Some people want to remain in the echo chamber for comfort. I appreciated the dialog you both shared int his podcast. Several times, as a therapist, I've listened to your interviews and found so much emotional and intellectual data and good information around the individual and their views of the world. Thank you for your work.

I have watched almost all of your podcast episodes, they are both informative and entertaining. However, it is fascinating how an episode as informative and as interesting as this one does not get anywhere near as many views as….. say the episode with Matt Hancock. It appears people cling more to controversy, entertainment and escapism, and less so to growth and education. Easily one of your best episodes IMO 👏

Very smart and good for raising awareness. However, as someone who has started to follow this channel I've started to notice an over reliance on referencing experiences of the host to relate to the guest. Not sure how to say this but as an interviewer you're pretty awesome. Don't "can" or box your experiences to push relationship. The guest is with you and you're one of the most honest interviewers out there. My opinion may be rubbish, but I'm ok with that. Love the channel. Keep up the good work. You may be working things out but I want for you to treat each guest as an individual which you do. They are there because they trust you. I'm watching this channel because you're honest. If you're not honest I can't believe you're honest. So many online forums are a scam and I believe you're real. I'm learning how to be a better human with your guests. They're with you and viewers are with you. Keep up the good work! I know Charlie Rose may have had some issue but I watched him always. You're the like Charlie Rose 2.0. People listen and you're tackling questions about intelligence and humanness and problems that people ought to. Keep pushing and growing. Not many like you! Cheering you on.

I really enjoyed this conversation! I enjoyed the book rebel ideas 💓 so this conversation was so enjoyable! On the note of initiative, i think i is down to the belief you hold in your core.. If you think you are a doer, an action oriented person the initiative follows more readily! Also in culture where permission is key ( so the more social culture with hierarchies) the you could be penalised for divergent thinking or acting, this can be passed down for generations!

You have described here what Tom Hansen must have seen when he concluded what most of concur to, “Most meetings suck!” Also we now know less than 5% of what we hear sticks. Yet CEOs spend 1/3 of their working time in meetings. Would you agree the format of meetings need to change to make space for growth mindset. If so, perhaps mindguiding is better than the current meeting structures. That would diversify thought at the gates.
