@@jacobkenyon2299 Nothing corrupt about it at all (other than coinbase itself). People decided the company sucked and wasn't worth what it was going for so sold. Lots of people had vested stock before ipo which is what was initially selling. Brian himself has been selling his own personal stock since that day and has never once bought back - that tells you that as ceo he knows the company could become insolvent if a bank run happens because his numbers are cooked with assets that are backed by nothing and printed out of thin air (usdc)

There is an issue with CB Pro on the iPhone when sending XLM to a saved address that includes a memo. It does not actually include the memo when sent leading to crypto purgatory. I feel bad even saying it here but I would have asked that in the interview if I were there and the number of emails and amount of time it took to get the issue resolved (over 6 months and unfortunately >50% of the value while in a CB wallet somewhere) changed my view of CB permanently. I'm probably a bit old and uneducated to know anything much, but I can see for sure is that the tech industry is going to be blown wide open...if it's not already. The problem will cease to be a presence of intelligence and skill, but will be one of effective communication and the ability to execute empathy. I think Gates and Zuckerburg learned this eventually and virtually live basic lives yet continue to build their empires with the acquiring of "good" people. For all the worldly inexperience of this young man he is superb in all the right ways none the less. I like him.

I remember the company early days. It was very difficult to deal with and customer service was pretty much non existent. I got the impression it was never about it customers and really just about making money from getting people to invest in this new craze (vulnerable customers) It was very easy to setup an account and put your money in but once in getting it back was very very difficult even for the most legitimate investors i.e. No KYC/AML issues. Instead of focusing on IPO and cashing out it may have been better to get things right. Then again business is risk and you can't blame him on capitalising on it early.

Thank you for this amazing and inspiring interview. No wonder that you both are very successful and innovative. There were two questions that I’m answering without being asked. 1. How to hire the perfect persons? If you are hiring from a negative vibration, a negative feeling place (stress, not knowing what to do, doubts...) you will not be able to hire the right person because your frequency doesn't match the frequency of your desire (happy, fulfilling, thrilling...) But if you think about that person that you want to hire and you feel the positive aspects, you talk in your mind with that person and you have these amazing feelings, the universe will deliver the right person because now you have the vibrational frequency that matches what you want. It is always about holding a frequency (mood) that you want to manifest in your life. 2. How to deal with negative comments: Negative comments are an indicator of how those people are vibrating (jealousy, greed, they don’t feel worthy…). Just let them have their comments. It has nothing to do with you. Somehow along their way, they had people influencing them in a negative way and they “bought into these negative beliefs”. Stay in a good vibration because you will always know what to do if you stay connected to a high vibration and everybody, especially you, has the benefit of your good vibration (even if they don’t feel it right away). Really respect Brian's response at ending of pidcast about regulation stifling innovation. However the real innovation society needs is how do you get people and entire societies to not try to outsmart the rules, outsmart others and get more for themselves at the expense of others. Good soul but Coinbase had one of the worst crashes after their IPO ever. They marketed the IPO like crazy to fill their own bank accounts whilst investors lost billions - $342 at IPO, $53 today. Therefore its not a $100 billion company but a $11.94 billion company. Still a huge amount and a great achievement… Title of the video should be updated.

The comments on regulation hit home. I see the negative effects in home rentals. A single city inspector can interpret laws contrary to inspectors that came before him. These interpretations drive the cost of housing up on my tenants. A judge in a courtroom has a similar responsibility however a judge is trained, whereas an inspector has little more than a driver's license. I feel bad for my tenants.

coinbase was a pain, you had to send 'some' money to them to set up a wore. i sent £10 then they said send more, sent me some etherium back as comp. was an odd set up. nothing professional or quick about it. no idea what its like now.
