Sam - so glad your GenCon session report came up in my YT feed. You’re looking strong and love the positive energy from this video. Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts and this con definitely filled your bucket. You’ve still got it! Hilarious 2 c u still slinging BangTDG! One of my favorite things about Gen Con is there's just so much there, out of this list of 10 I only knew 3 existed before watching this video. Even though I was at Gen Con the whole 4 days. And 1 of the 3 I only know about because a promo copy of it got shoved into my hands one morning as I was walking through the hall. Free games are awesome.

The one line description of Prestige reminds me of Reiner Knizia's Blue Moon City: a semi-cooperative city-building game where players collaborate to build a great city using cards. Great game. I'll keep an eye out for Prestige.

My favorite demo was the Cube. Kind of a 3D connect 4. It was just a prototype and they were wooing a publisher. But it was very enjoyable. If the like the thought process of chess with connect 4 on a 3D rotation platform.

I'm starting to wonder if we might see more player count specific versions of games after all the recent duel versions. Maybe even like a Con or game event version where you can have 10 players or other number. Typically this was not a consideration in the past but with all the ways gamers get together now it might start to be.

Hi Sam, great video. I'm trying to buy at least one expansion to Memoir 44. What is your favorite between Winter Wars, Eastern, Mediterranean, and Pacific?

Out of those, I’d say go for Winter Wars and Eastern Theater. Mediterranean and Pacific are both good, too, though. Just depends on where your interests lie. Eastern brings in Russian troops, Med. brings in British troops, and Pacific brings in Japanese troops, and Marines rules for the US. Lots of good stuff there!

@@SamHealey6 Thanks so much for answering. I'm not as interested in the historical military types but in what has the best updates to the rules and scenarios. I've read about some of the new things, like caves in Pacific, but it's hard to know what is best unless you've played them. Memoir 44 is probably my favorite type of game, and I have a hard time finding other games like this. I'm tired of Euro salads appearing to be a war game. Anyway, thanks for your help.

@@jrobinson5053 You’re welcome! I’d imagine you’re aware of this, but the different troops choices do bring in differences/updates for rules, because each of them have their own eccentricities. And the different terrain tiles offered in each set bring their own rules updates, too. Have fun!

Hi Sam, Thanks for the video. Small tip for future videos: Wear a different color shirt. The color is almost the same as the back of the chair. And your shoulders almost perfectly allign with the back as well. At times I thought I was looking at the Hunchback of the Notre Dame. 😉

the A.R.T project is just meh to me... Not bad but quite a simple cooperative game that I think gets repetitive very quickly, despite different maps and twists... Theme is barely there. I'll pass on the rest if it's the A.R.T that stood out.
