I Love DOMINION, my 2nd favorite game. I have use Randominion app as the Kingdom selector. I have the Broken Token Case as well. I try to play Dominion as many times as I can. I hope to have a chance to play Dominion with you guys at a Dice Tower event later this year.

Dominion is my favorite game of all time. I don't care it is themeless. The game is fun and perfect economic game. I like games with theme but I will always be down for Dominion casually and in tournaments. I can play this 3 or 4 times in a night without breaking a sweat.

I think one of the reasons people don't play it anymore is everyone burned out on Dominion from playing it so much.

I understand how incredible Dominion would've been when it first came out, something totally new and unseen but personally having started playing deckbuilders will Thunderstone I can't see myself going back to Dominion. I know I would miss the theme and sense of purpose I feel with Thunderstone.

Ogreman222 i technically started playing deck builders with Star Realms digital but the first deckbuilder I own physically is Legendary: Marvel. As far as Dominion I actually think I prefer Heart of Crown which feels like a more thematic Dominion clone.

Dominion is a great game, but I like Puzzle Strike better. It's highly replayable without lots of expansions (I've played it 200+ times so far) and very balanced (no useless chips). Also I prefer head to head dueling games to euro games without much player interactions.

I've owned Dominion since 2014 and still love it to this day. love playing it. I have Prosperity, Intrigue, and Seaside. I could see myself buying more. I have built a lazy Suzanne making it much easier to play the game. couldn't recommend Dominion enough.

The Dice Tower, HELP! We just had an argument over the Gardens card. How is it counted at the end of game? Some felt it was 10 cards get 1 VP (30-39 cards=3 VP), others felt every gardens card multiplied the sets of 10 in the deck (30-39 cards=3 sets x3 cards = 9 VP). Which is correct?

I've liked dominion when I've played it, but because I've never owned it I probably won't pick it up, as I have plenty of deck builders. My favourites are Xenon Profiteer and Paperback. That being said I really appreciate this look at how dominion changed the industry!

Prefer Valley of the Kings or Trains: Rising Sun...I like themes and using Deck-building to drive a theme is better than no theme.

My issue with Dominion is that in order to win you have to ignore 90% of the cards. You can pick up all the interesting sounding locations but someone just powering through the money cards will beat you. Why put all those cards in a game just to be ignored.

+Brandon Palmer the first time I played it I was buying lots of different cards and had what I thought was an interesting looking village...then the game suddenly ended and I had come last to other players who had very little apart from money and fiefs(?). Oh I thought. We played again and I concentrated on money and I won. But that second game just seemed so, so boring to me. The vast majority of cards just sat unloved on the table and my turns were practically the same and soulless. 😟

+Cthulwho? That's not really true. Big Money is the baseline strategy, but a player that buys nothing but treasures will usually lose to a player that gets some treasures AS WELL AS the right action cards. There are a few action cards that aren't good at all, but try winning a Chapel game without buying Chapel and trashing your estates and coppers, or try beating a player that's Cultist-chaining by just buying treasures and not dealing with their attacsk and the Ruins in your deck. Ah I see one is base And one an expansion. The use of one or two other cards doesn't really disprove my point that you have to ignore the majority of the cards in play.

I appreciate Dominion, but I'm not a huge fan. Actually, my biggest beef with Dominion is the logo, which is one of the worst in all of gaming. Hmmm, Top 10 best/worst game logos....

Legendary and Thunderstone do do it better. I even think Ascension is better (still kind of themeless) even with the lacking art. And then the game everyone loves to hate, Tanto Cuore. It has great card mechanics if you can get past the theme, which is funny as it's kind of themeless too.

Sorry guys, I don't care for deck builders. Would I try it? Sure, but I will never request it.
