Looks like a brilliant combination between the build-engine-vs-sacrifice-it-for-VPs tension from Valley of the Kings & Dale of Merchants, with the shared card values from Modern Art It might risk feeling samey though, perhaps more variable card effects could fix that?

I've only played modern art the card game, a huge part of the appeal of that game is how great the card art is.

Played this on bga and liked it. Would be great to have some variety in cards (art) and effects though. Maybe an expansion would actually fix this.

The end game condition is if anything goes to 70 or more on the track. It is not necessary that they make it all the way to the very end.

Yea what a missed opportunity. I don't mind that, but I've seen another reviewer trash a game they'd otherwise praise, just due to thematic dissonance

It's a fun game, but after 3 plays I feel like I've seen everything it has to offer. As people have pointed out, it's a deck builder where your deck doesn't actually do anything, it's just money. So you buy cards so you can buy more cards, etc. I'm glad I just played it on BGA and didn't spend money on it.

@@revimfadli4666 the samey repetative cards, the lackluster board, etc. Yeah it just looks bland. You would think a game about would be beautiful and ... artful.
