8.5 for me. Very simple, very quick - always fun, especially at two players. Wouldn't want to play it at more than three. You can even play little tournaments 1v1 because it's so quick.

Played this game for the first time last week, probably my first surprise of 2023, it was fun!

Yes, shorten the string for a game with experienced players. You can also make a house rule that odds on a die must be successfully rolled at the start of one's turn in order to change the shape of the string. If odds aren't made, one has to place their magnet with the string arrangement as it is. That helps increase the tension, and, consequently, the fun.

This is one of those, "make a game with crap you found in the junk drawer", games.

I don't have a large stash of magnetic stones at home, surprisingly.

The type of surface you play on also changes the difficulty of the game.

This is like a portable version of Jikashu...not sure I'm spelling it right. Same game play, but a string instead of a foam board

Hi there! Thinking of purchasing to play with my 10 year old daughter. The rating is 14+, would you say the magnets are small enough to pose a danger to an older child? I assume the rating is based on children ingesting or choking on the magnets.

I think it's completely alright for a 10 year old, the gameplay consists of magnets and a rope, which are both actually available separately anyways, and kids are usually fascinated with magnets from an early age, I think it's a great game to bond with your kid, and just an overall fun game, hope this helps.

Are the magnets a different size?

Thank you so much for your great description of Kluster! Have you ever tried laying the magnets on their skinny side? They like to spin & sometimes levitate! 😆👍🧲

That's awesome but I don't think I'm that pro... yet :D

Definitely place the pebbles on their side, it then becomes a game and no need to shorten the string. It’s very hit and miss if you place them flat down.

Exactly. Add a change where everyone must lay the stones on their skinny side. Now it becomes much more of a challenge and more fun too!
