Polandgames are the best inserts because you don't ruin them with glue putting them together. They clip together nicely with no other products needed. Though the Wingspan one I got meant you couldn't fit the player boards in the box once you had the insert in, which was a little it of an oversight.

I kickstarted Ludos just for the idea of old games, as put by others, it wasnt because i was looking forward to play the games but novelty and supporting the LUDOS idea of bringing games of the past to the present to preserve them.

I am in such dis-agreeance on railroad tiles. This looks like it takes railroad ink and makes it so cumbersome and slow. And they still went for the same million expansions style but now each expansion instead of being a few dice is a whole extra box of components. I've never played a game of railroad ink and wished it took up a whole table and took twice as long. It's possible I need to think about it less in relation to railroad ink and think of it more as just a cute tile drafting/laying game.

Definitely! I don't want to support AI art in particular. Machine translation for rules is a bit more difficult. I'd just generally rather people were involved, personally...

AI is just a tool, like a typewriter. [Yeah, I used to use one.] Any creator who hands a task over to an AI without final editing or testing is sloppy. AI should only be used for work efficiency, not final production. Cheers, ☕️

I don't know if I can agree with you, @peacefuldragon742 Considering how many of these AI algorithms are written, they scalp the work of others without their explicit consent and if you look at recent studies, the energy cost behind the programs is definitely not the direction I want to see boardgames move in!

@@peacefuldragon742I completely agree with you. I use it to generate sketches and/or concept to have a base to work from. It’s the better version of google searching for images. Of course, if you generate and publish it like this to avoid paying for art, it’s garbage but it’s hard to draw the line on how much editing is needed.

Watch every week! 😁 I wish you'd talk about some games a week earlier though -- I'm watching this day 1 and two games I was interested in, March of the Ants & DC Deckbuilder, are both finished 😢 I get talking about games as they are entering the finish and need a final push, but a day or two for people to react would be greatly appreciated. Maybe talk about games that are 8 or 9 days out instead of exactly 1 week. ✌️

The stacking cats game seemed to be a real befuddler. The creator is definitely aware of Animal Upon Animal. I had backed the original set a couple years ago because I like adding new creatures to my Animal Upon Animal sets. I think Animal Upon Animal has a large non-boardgaming market that Haba has unfortunately failed to tap into here in the States. Cats are great. Dogs are great.

It baffles me that the polandgames inserts dont show more about how it organizes the game more clearly. Just show the pretty boxes, but not how you actually pack it together.
