Did you try it already? I have just ordered one for myself and we will see. Im a bit worried about grub loader with touch screen/bt keyboard, same as connect this special keyboard with fingerprint reader and touchpad over bluetooth to linux. Im going to see how capable it is for linux with gnome

@@martinsvanda8650 I haven't yet, but I've tested gnome accessibility features. The default virtual keyboard doesn't seem to deploy in google chrome's text fields.

I was hoping to install linux on what of these as well, did you give it a try?
@martinsvanda8650Ай бұрын
@@solidoperative After two months of using - internal audio still is not working well (Meteor P-Lake procesor built-in audio not implemented right in current newest kernel 6.11 - looks fine, but without sound :-D ), otherwise it is just works over HDMI (I use it with external monitor most of time or headphones, it is not a big deal for me). Sometimes it has problem with wake up from sleep mode and I have to halt off/on. Everythinkg else is working pretty well - even fingerprint reader, touch screen (works same as every other touch screen in linux - not succifient for me, but works) etc. Sometimes somehow stucks detachable keyboard (after wake up), but it can be repaired during the run of the system by detach it - not a big deal. Conslusion: Works with linux better than expected. My setup: Ubuntu 24.04 with Gnomeshell. Once you have some specific question, feel free to ask.

I have a x12 Detachable Gen1, Its connected with Thinkpad TB3 Dock for 3+1 Display setup... Its working totally fine so at 7:52 in your video time line you referred ThunderBolt Port, Both gen1 and gen2 have it and it support respective accessory with it... Surprising part ThinkPad division just copy and paste for gen1 to gen2 both are looking same with buttons and ports and vents and every things at the same place... I was expecting some bezels to go away, body to have yet more air vents, speaker like a bigger and some change in their placement but they just didn't kept efforts here

How is your experience with Gen1? Is it durable enough? Any heat issue? Can I use it as my primary laptop? Would you recommend to buy? Pls share your views...rgds,

@@shobhon143 So far I'm happy although 16 GB RAM isn't enough for my usecase, however its still the great every day tab/laptop.. (Battery life is an issue though) Durable.. yes it is, i am not surprised its ThinkPad anyways. Thermal issues, i have never noticed. I don't recommend this as your primary laptop. The form factor itself is an issue as u can't keep this very well on your lap. You can't use this very well as you go on a metro or even your car or if you are on your couch. This is best for web browsing or stock trading or RDP. i made this as my server monitoring device. After 8 Months i was not happy with the form factor and got ThinkPad P1 Gen6... Its expensive but best in all ways.

Because the Thinkpad computer is black, it is difficult to see the computer on a black background. It is recommended that you use a white or light-colored desktop background when reviewing a black computer.

they are, but I doubt finger rejection on the edges is anywhere close to what Apple has on iPads

At $1500 you can buy a base Surface pro with flex keyboard and pen and have money left. Personally I would not buy any intel device before Lunar lake.
