The right amount of dark(ish) comedy and oddly wholesome ending. I agree with the message. I once knew a blind from birth guy who said the most frustrating thing about being blind, was that people assumed he was missing out on something. But to him, he could "see" the world through his other senses, and the mind is remarkably adaptable. In that way, he felt like "seeing people" were the ones missing out on something.
