As a new subscriber, I have to tell you that I love, love, love your channel. I have already watched a ton of your ideas- they are so stylish and inspirational! Having no sewing machine, it is generally hard to upcycle or create new clothing. I am 54 years young and have been depressed this Christmas with parents having passed away a few years ago (my sister who lives overseas says we are now orphans), my husband and I have had no money for gifts ( being an artist, I made gifts for neighbours and they didn't even thank me) so yes, I am depressed. However, finding your channel has helped lift my spirits and I am upcycling and getting creative with my old clothes. Thank you so much, you help more than you realise.

An inexpensive area to source appliqués and lace trimmings is off thrift store wedding dresses, too. I’ve found some clean and non-faded dresses during half-off sales. Then, cut off the dress for your other projects.

Hey if that happens again just cut the tube of E6000 at the bottom and squeeze the glue out that way, to close it fold up the bottom and secure with an alligator clip or if there’s a lot of glue left in tube just cut a little corner of the bottom and again clip to save....u may have to recut the next time you need to use but just repeat the whole process...it’s a good idea to squish the bottom up to get the glue out of the part u want to fold up ...... this usually works for any stuff in a tube that you can’t undo the top of...😛

Hey Orly I have an idea, for the grey blazer with the mesh, how about adding a few rows of silver or clear crystal trim (just like the multi-colored one you made the belt out of) to the edge you sewed to cover it. I think that would look really nice!

Wow, you are amazing! I've been subscribed forever but I haven't commented yet. I think you intimidate me in a good way and you also inspire me to do my own thing in my rural, never going to a fancy party life. I'm going to watch your painting on shoes videos before I paint my shoes. But, mine are Dr. Scholls orthopedic flats that accommodate my bunions, except only with the thinnest of socks. They are so old the top layer of (it swears it's) leather is peeling off the thin, soft tongue and the heel where it gets scuffed while driving. Then I am also going to re-sew the whipstitching a bit looser to fit better. (If you have the time Google the 1959 song Tan Shoes and Pink Shoe Laces, because that is another part of my inspiration.) As for your sparkly suits, my eyes were taken with the red suit and the multi-colored accent on the pocket flaps. I liked it with the accent used as a belt, but it was a low second. So why not do both? If there's enough length, cut the pocket accents but glue little magnets to the backside and pop some more inside the flap. Then take the longer piece and turn it into a belt. Eve if it's a little short for your waist, you could glue the end to a soft piece of fabric. Then use the fabric to slip over the straight loop end of a belt attachment. The buckle could add an inch or even two, depending on what you need and select. Then that beautiful belt could accent many outfits. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing your great projects with us all!

I have two blazers I really love. One is made of a black-and-purple brocade, sort of a 1940s look - about the only thing I could change would be to put glitzier buttons on it. The other one is solid purple leather - again, all I could really change would be the buttons.
