I had a chemical pregnancy my very first time trying. It was really difficult since we had just told immediate family the day before. While that made it more difficult, it also helped in that we had family to help support us. Luckily, we had a healthy pregnancy 2 months later and my daughter is now 2! All I can say is to someone who is going through or recently went through a chemical pregnancy, just because it happened so early on does not invalidate your feelings. Be kind to yourself and take as much time to grieve as you need❤

So glad you made this. Had a blighted ovum pregnancy last year. While I knew about missed miscarriages I did not realize an empty gestational sack was a thing until a friend shared she had one a few weeks before mine. Miraculously, hers was misdiagnosed and she now has a healthy daughter, Hope, after they did one final Ultrasound before her D&C at the hospital to put her heart at ease. Lo and behold they found a heartbeat and a baby bean measuring right on track!

Miscarriage is so hard and it’s so hard to get out of that mindset. My miscarriage was whole. Everything all at once the sac was still intact. My baby stopped growing at around 6 weeks and I miscarried at 9. I felt a little comfort seeing my baby and being able to bury him or her. I’m praying for everyone who has gone through this and praying we get our rainbow babies.

Thank you for all of your videos, especially this one! I never comment but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else. Both of my pregnancies had frequent light bleeding starting at 5 weeks. My first was discovered to have no heartbeat and to have stopped growing at 7 weeks when I went for my first OB visit at 9 weeks and I passed with expectant management two days later. My second pregnancy I followed more closely with HCG levels and ultrasounds starting at 6 weeks. I had a heavy bleed and cramping at 9 weeks but there was still a heartbeat and a subchorionic hemorrhage was found a week later. The bleeding stopped after 12 weeks and I had a healthy baby. The anxiety of pregnancy after loss is terrible and my heart goes out to all of the parents experiencing loss.

Thank you so much for this video! I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant after 2 miscarriages. You don't realize how common they are until they happen to you. And even then, it's not talked about a lot and can feel very isolating. Your compassion on this topic is VERY much appreciated!

My 1st pregnancy was a missed miscarriage. We had seen the heartbeat at 8 weeks, so we're shocked at our 12 week appointment. I chose medical management, and was SEVERELY under prepared for that experience. It was like a mini labor, my water even broke at one point. We had our miracle baby since then, and are expecting baby #2. But that first experience still causes severe anxiety. Especially this second pregnancy, we had a subchoionic hemorrhage bleeding. We went in for an ultrasound at 6w3d and we're shocked to see a heart beat. Now praying fiercely that this little baby stays healthy and strong, and hoping the anxiety subsides.

I just went through something similar. At 6w5d I started bleeding it was like a light period. My obgyn didn’t seem concerned just like eh sorry you’re going through this if it gets worse go to ER. I expected a different response considering I’m 40yo and this is first pregnancy. Found out after Xmas I miscarried. Is it typical for the doc to not react or bring me in for testing? I find it so weird

Thank you two for this. You touched on this a bit, but I would love to hear you speak on what to expect with those later miscarriages. I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks. We did expectant management at home. I was told to expect heavy bleeding and cramps. That is not what happened. Hours of contractions, my sac breaking, and finally pushing our much wanted little one into a toilet bowl. It was a traumatic experience alone, but the misinformation really shook my family. I would just love for there to be high quality information (as you both always provide) about the realities of what to expect. P.S. when we were lucky enough to fall pregnant again, we watched week by week along with you. We are now expecting our second and are so happy to be on this journey with you all again! Best wishes to you

I had a missed abortion recently. There's nothing more heartbreaking than going to the ultrasound in high spirits expecting to see your baby and hearing their tiny little heart has stopped beating. For me the pregnancy symptoms had been going on for a month after the baby passed. I had no signs of a misscariage. I had no idea.

I hope my comment will give hope those who is going though the loss right now - my first pregnancy in May 2024 ended up with miscarriage at week 8. I got pregnant IMMEDIATELY after that (with no period after miscarriage). We knew it’s possible but were truly shocked and confused when that happened 😅. I’m at 32 weeks with the second pregnancy right now - all the tests and ultrasounds so far are looking great. I don’t know if I recommend anyone to get pregnant THAT fast (I was EXTREMELY anxious around 8 weeks of the second pregnancy and wondering if taking more time to heal could help….) but certainly a miscarriage doesn’t automatically mean that you’ll struggle with having a baby soon!

@@popaki9484 my “preview” to ovulation window was Oura Ring that tracks temperature (not very accurately, but clearly this time it helped:)) And I must say, my miscarriage went very quickly and painlessly, ovulation happened 2 weeks after it. And the funny thing that we barely tried to conceive that months + the first time it took us several months to conceive so when it happened we were very very surprised 😅

@@popaki9484I thought I posted a comment but it seems to be gone??? If both show up, that’s KZbin glitch. To be honest, we were barely trying and were very surprised that it happened so fast because first time it took us few months to conceive. I was “tracking” ovulation with Oura Ring (which is only somewhat accurate) so I saw that it was happening around 2 weeks after the miscarriage but with Oura you can not tell EXACT day. When we confirmed pregnancy I was a bit worried that right after miscarriage this could be problematic but came across a lot of other stories like ours online and people saying that women are more fertile after miscarriage. I don’t remember if I fact checked that so this might be entirely an urban legend and a coincidence 😅

This video is very much needed, and I thank you for all of this information. I lost 2 babies spontaneously this year alone, within 4 months of each other, one at almost 9 weeks in June and the other recently in October at 7w3d. No previous history of problems, we have one living child. What makes me angry is that my doc refuses to investigate the cause until (God forbid) I have a 3rd loss, and you have just confirmed to me that they should have given me a workup. We won't be trying again for at least another 2 cycles due to the terrible strain these losses have caused. Meanwhile, we are focusing on getting healthier and looking at what we need to try to see that this doesn't happen again. This video confirms that we're on the right path, so thank you for the reassurance! Love you guys!

I had an 8 weeks miscarriage and I was not prepared to see the baby. Everyone says tissue, and I think that is true for most but I held my little gummy bear and I was not prepared for that. Also, if you are like me and continue to get positive pregnancy tests after you period returns, call your OB. Don't be like me with retained placenta for months and think it is just normal after a miscarriage.

I had a missed miscarriage this year. At 8 weeks the embryo measured 2 weeks behind with 70bpm. I had only tiny tiny bits of tissue passing and a little bleeding after bowel movements. Days later for a recheck there was no more growth and the heart stopped. I waited until 11ish weeks but I didn't naturally pass the embryo. I had to do 2 rounds of miso before all the tissue finally passed.

@@firemires03 I'm so sorry that the Democrat party lied to you. They said crazy things like that to get people to vote for them with no regard for the harm they were causing. If you have a doctor that believes they Are not allowed to give you care for a miscarriage, change them immediately and report to them. That is either through their own ignorance, or they are trying to harm you for political gain. I am also in my late thirties and would like to have two more children and while I worry about natural miscarriage, I do not spend one second worrying about not being allowed to receive care, because it's not reality. If you are talking about the one case in North Carolina, that had nothing to do with any laws. It was a complication from an elective abortion. Seriously, the amount of lies they told in this last election cycle is unforgivable.

Guys, if you're going in because you're having a miscarriage or "whatever is happening to you" NEVER tell them you took something to end the pregnancy even if it is true. It can reduce the level of care you will receive, if you get care at all. They cannot tell you took anything so don't tell them.

We had a chemical pregnancy with our first FET and my doctor did a hs-crp test. It came back really high. He cancelled my next transfer and we waited for it to come down. We tested again a few months later and the hs-crp was normal. I just finished my second FET and the next day took another hs-crp. It came back elevated again. Do you know why that could be or if it could affect our chances of getting pregnant this time?

I have two euploid embryos left and I’m wondering if I should discuss different protocol/testing with my fertility doc. This was a medicated transfer. Thanks from 🇨🇦

Hi! Also a Maddie :) I miscarried by first pregnancy, had a successful second pregnancy, and am now pregnant again for a third time. This is what helped me the second time around: I had a new provider, I had a very poor experience with my first, so I started my second pregnancy with a new provider, I shared my concerns at the first appt and they offered an extra HCG test and early ultrasound. Personally, I found knowing the percentage rates for potential for loss each week comforting as I moved through and out of the first trimester. I still carry a lot of worry with me now in my third pregnancy, be gentle with yourself and your heart.

I find it curious that providers almost universally. Recommend waiting until you get your period back before trying again. However, in reality if you have gotten your period back, you have ovulated. Meaning you could get pregnant again even before you have a return of your period. My only understanding as to why this could be is for pregnancy dating purposes to make it easier on the provider. Can anyone anyone else think of another reason why to wait until your period returns if you are ready to try again immediately?
@nutequest
@nutequest 21 күн бұрын
They say it’s for hormones to go back to normal and the lining sheds. We chose to not wait though and know others whom did the same and never got a period because got pregnant straight after. We just waited til the spotting stopped. My HCG was still at 50 a few days before starting to try again. Came down from 100 but the fact it was still there means immune system is more likely to allow the pregnancy. No science on this as not much on pregnant women as it is. So, just my naturopathic opinion. Do what’s right for your family.

Its so sad and horrible to see people being denied care when they lose a baby and then later pass away because of that. Even if that doesn't happen, I've heard about doctors says things like "Is she in ENOUGH danger for me to legally perform this operation? Is she close enough to dying that I won't get in trouble?" As they function now, these new laws since the overturning of Roe v. Wade are cruel and completely ignore the real danger that women are sometimes in during a pregnancy loss. Pregnancy is not simple or cut and dry, and these decisions should be made by doctors and pregnant people, not politicians that have their own agenda (and obviously don't know as much as the people going through it or have dedicated themselves to years of study and practice). When I was little, my mom lost a set of triplets after 20 weeks and had to have them removed so that she didn't die of sepsis. It is wild to me that 20 years later, if I find myself in a similar situation I will not get that care as quickly or easily as she did. I have friends that WANT to start a family, but because they have miscarried before, have decided it's too dangerous for them to try to conceive because of the laws in their state. This is truly a regression of rights that we're seeing here in the US.

As someone who has gone through back to back miscarriages and complications, thank you for talking about this and bringing loss to light.
