For further context, according to his Instagram Legend was born with deformed back legs and no tail. I'm guessing a genetic mutation. He was rescued from a hoarding situation and amputation was the best option to make him comfortable as he was in really bad shape Additionaly, he can use his litter box by himself! Truly an impressive kitty

To prevent any more damage to his body like his spine or overly strained muscles, Legend definitely needs a wheelchair. He is a very sweet and playful cat despite having a bad hand dealt to him so early on in his life. Thank god you gave Legend a safe place to come out of his shell and another chance at life because he still has quality of life and a lot of love and happiness to give. I’m praying someone who has raised or cared for more special needs cats can find room in their hearts and home to make Legend part of their family. You are an amazing kitty Legend and you deserve to live a long happy and healthy life

Mainly because felines like to above ground more often than canines do, also felines prefer to be independent while the doggos like depending on us, for some unknown reason. 😅 Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go pay tribute to my feline overlords in the manner of chin scratches, compliments and catering to her every need. I pray the cat gets a home as wonderful as he is. What an amazingly beautiful example of perseverance. My Rottweiler just had her back left leg amputated four months ago due to cancer. It is so much easier for a cat to adapt than a 70 pound dog. It makes we wish my dog had cat claws because jumping on the bed and stairs are a challenge for her still. Running is easier for my dog than walking because she uses the back leg like a pogo stick and runs like the wind.

Legend is the definition of inspiration. I know a woman who is a double leg amputee, and she complains about it, does drugs, and uses it as an excuse for bad behavior every single day. Legend took the time to mourn the loss. Then, I got up and let it go. We have so much to learn from animals. Way to go, Legend.
