I'm a relatively new Christian and I know I'm saved, but I struggle with the concept of walking after the Spirit, becase all I've ever walked after has been the flesh. It's not as easy as simply deciding to walk after the Spirit and the Flesh happily concedes and shuts up. To me is a struggle, not because I'm worried about my salvation, I know I can't take back my soul from Christ even if I tried, I'm His, but because I hate what my stupid flesh wants to do all the time. Thank God for Jesus my Lord and Savior!

Don’t listen to anyone that says you can lose your salvation. From my current understanding, salvation works thusly: if you fall away from the faith, and stay away, you were never truly saved. If you are in the faith, and stumble, confess your sins to God, as according to 1 John 5. Sinless perfection is impossible, as also stated in 1 John 5. Anyone who says they have no sin is a liar, again, 1 John 5. In fact I’d just recommend giving 1 John 5 a read 😂. Also Romans 7 is a great illustration of the battle you’re describing. Read Watchman Nee "The Normal Christian Life". This is the stuff the Apostles taught to brand new converts in the infant churches that were started. (It is not taught at ALL in churches today) Peter, John and Paul all talk about passing from death to life, being a NEW Creation, and the new birth...being BORN AGAIN of the Father's seed! Nee was a Chinese teacher who started house churches in China. He was eventually arrested and put in prison until he died in 1972.

@@ownleywunlord9638 we only have the Hope of being saved (Roman’s 5:3-5). There are no such thing as “repeat after me” prayers in scripture that make you saved. You may not realize it because I also did not as I was raised in the evangelical church. There are no alter calls, no accepting Jesus into your heart. No Christmas or Christmas trees, no Easter where Jesus died on Good Friday and was resurrected on Easter Sunday. None of that is biblical. Jesus said the sign of the Son of man would be the sign of Jonah, that as Jonah was in the belly of the whale for 3 days and 3 nights so the Son of Man would be in the earth. There are not 3 days and 3 nights between Friday and Sunday. Jesus did not teach the sabbath being on Sunday. The list is long of the man made doctrines and traditions that teach something different than scripture. All these traditions are pagan traditions adopted by the Roman church to appease its constituents when Constantine made “Christianity” the state religion. Completely corrupting it by blending it with Paganism. You can find some of these pagan things we were warned not to take part in but Christian’s today completely ignore. Jeremiah 10:1-4.

I understand Grace and the message that we do nothing for salvation but during the sanctification process the Holy Spirit according to Isaiah 11 gives us wisdom understanding and knowledge and this brings desire to do the works set before us. We present ourselves and take a step of faith, we fight the good fight, We discipline our bodies and members according to Hebrews 12.:11 , Thus in our actions given through wisdom of the spirit we run we dont just sit back... there is certain effort from our side to walk in those good works. I was on meth for 4 and a half years. I was using it when you first reached out to me. God was doing great things in me while I sought him and continued using. I've been free of it going on two months and have no desire for that which draws me away from Him. I still smoke cigarettes, but those are losing their flavor as well. Just keep seeking. Let God deal with the sin. That's his business, not your's. Your business is believing that Christ died on a cross for your sins. Your business is giving thanks for that. Your business is praising God for everything, including your struggles to which he provides grace. You handle your business and let God handle His.

The problem is, as humans, we will sin from birth until our deaths, and we will never stop that. All we can do is be saved, have a repentant mind, be perfected in Jesus' Love, and do our best to not sin. That's it. We will sin regardless of our faith, maturity, or love for the Lord. We are humans, and we will act as humans until we are dead or raptured. Anybody that claims to not sin are hypocrites.

I love listening to your sermons! I'm at a cross roads right now I have been struggling with some areas in my life but at the same time I feel the Holy Spirit is asking me to uproot myself from my current church and move to another church, my flesh is fighting me every step of the way not wanting to leave old familiar faces and comfort but i also feel like that's all i've been getting from my current church I have stopped growing and they ask me to serve at every event not allowing me to just rest and sit at a service without having to go over their curriculum for the area they've asked me to serve throughout the sermon. I feel like I'm no longer serving God but that I'm serving a church

Breaker taught me dispensations which made some of the Bible verses make sense for the first time which where in opposition to Paul's grace Gospel given him by JESUS CHRIST GOD ALMIGHTY for us gentiles today. The CURE for sin: I used to struggle with sins of the flesh while being an active Christian, I remember being sincere for Christ and out of nowhere my flesh wanted to sin in the flesh. I had no hope of not sinning But THEN God showed me THE OTHER SIDE of Himself God showed me that He had had enough and that THE LAKE OF ETERNAL FIRE is the destiny of the unrepentant and disobedient Once God shows you the ETERNAL LAKE OF FIRE as justice for your sins, you will never struggle with major sins again: instead you will live your life walking holy and the Holy Spirit will help you perfect obedience in other areas of your life but the days of willful rebellion against GOD will be a thing of the past. Ecclesiastic 12 and 13 let us hear the conclusion of the matter fear God and keep his commandments for that is the whole duty of man.

Sounds like the key here is focus. There's this highway in a northern state, I think in Montana or North Dakota. A desolate highway. It gets very icy. Very interesting statistics when it came to road accidents. People would lose control of their vehicles and slide off the road. You have to stop by faith, I was a smoker for almost 20 years and when Jesus saved me I knew that I had to stop and by faith I did, I through them away and for 4 days I faced temptation, I found one under my bed the following day, and the following day I found one in my draw and then day after that I was a friend who smoked all day but I never gave in to temptation, God gave me the grace I needed and I was determined and kept my mind on Jesus the whole time and it was from that day that he completely delivered me and set me free and I’ve never smoked since in almost 5 years!! And so you can do it, you just need to set your mind on Christ, get rid of them and as you focus on him and resist temptation and not give in under no circumstance he will do the rest!

I have the same problem too. I was addicted to gambling and one day I told myself this is it, the desire fell away, now I could care less about the casino. With my games on my phone, I would spend so much time on my games, but, one day I said this is it and I stopped, it wasn't by my works but the LORD'S blessing that it was easy to walk away from those things, because I truly gave it to Him. But for some reason smoking 🚬, I'm not willing to let go freely and depend on Jesus, my flesh is going nuts. So now I'm going to start saying every time I want a cigarette or smoke a cigarette, I'm going to say, my flesh is dead to these cigarettes , and anything else that's flesh. I think for me after saying it and starting to believe it things will change. GOD always shows us a way. We just have to keep wanting to follow Christ , and I believe he's going to give us strength to overcome if we stand on his word. Just thank Him and say Thank you for your Grace and Mercy already LORD. We will overcome this, also, He still Loves us as long as we believe in Him. Let's just pray for each other and not beat ourselves up. God understands us, that's why Jesus Christ died for us a long time ago because He knows. I pray you get peace of mind ( myself too ) to overcome while we are giving this struggle to the Lord and I pray for others as well, because everybody doesn't just stop cold turkey. So stay believing in and on the LORD trusting his promises with joy. 🙏💪💞💯

Thank you so much for this message man of God. I have been living in a state of fear and doubt regarding my salvation. I have allowed Satan to trick me into believing that I need to change my behaviors in order to be found acceptable to the Father and Jesus. I now know after listening to this message from Michael Pearl, that God accepts me as His child only because, I believe Him and in His Son, who took upon Himself all of my sin and nailed it to a cross, along with my old man and is now dead according to the Father in Heaven. I don't have to struggle against the flesh and worry about messing up anymore, because God's grace through Jesus Christ gives me the power to choose to walk according to the Spirit instead of the flesh. I'm ALIVE in Christ, and DEAD to sin! Just as Abraham believed God, and God credited to him as righteousness, so God credits my belief and trust in Jesus as righteousness. @19:00 "Let no man spoil you through ..." that's something I think a lot of Christians need to hear nowadays. I praise the Lord that He has helped me keep the Faith despite countless attacks from people all over the internet who claim to be wise, but even if I don't have an answer to some of the things they say (because I don't know what the answer is exactly), I shake my head and walk away, refusing to believe some of the ridiculous things people say. The Scriptures say that a saved Christian knows the Voice of their Shepard, and another they will not follow (which is why I stopped listening to several preachers online, they just... 'feel' wrong). The Scriptures also say that there are many who profess to be wise, and are fools, and many who the world calls fools who are wise. So, if people call me an idiot, or stupid, etc... I know I'm on the right path when it comes to my Faith.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, James 5:7-11 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
