Conservatives criticizing the attempt to include mantras and chants in Metal forget the story of encounter between Adi Shankara and Shiva in the form of a Chandala, an outcast. It is the supreme lesson imparted to Shankara, as he learns that God is omnipresent in EVERYTHING. Thats what we Metalheads proudly are : Outcasts. And our music will not stop.

its a song from raavana the demon king of srilanka to please shiva
@hellion9078 жыл бұрын
Manas Joshi this video is made on the background of the legend of ravaana,a devout devotee of Shiva. Ravaana's meditation and devotion towards Shiva was at such an extent that he made a mridanga veena with his entrails and played the Shiva tandava strotam to offer his prayers. Shiva, being overwhelmed, came to shower his blessings over ravaana in the disguise of nataraj.. if you listen to the groove of the song starting from the intro bass riff, you can feel the energy and the power of the Shiva tandava strotam.. this is one of the best Vedic metal or epic metal songs ever. Cheers to the down troddance..

Beautiful. Loved the Shiv Tandav Stotram. The video beautifully shows the transformation of the ego centric Ravan, who is a rakshas being turned into a Brahmin by gaining the knowledge by simply admiring the magnificence of Lord Shiva after chanting the stotram and thus gaining enormous amount of eternal knowledge (well depicted by the 10 heads shown). Refreshing!!!

The lore of Shiva questioning shankaracharya is a misconstrued one by the supremacists whom wanted to replace the history of a Pulaya man (A Dalit) who refused to move aside from the path of the Brahmin resulting in his death by pyre. The savarna landlords and their allies burned the Dalit man alive and history repacked this bloodied caste violence into a divine folklore.

This is more like RAAVANA, on the request of his mother, asking SIVA-MAHADEVA for his ATMA-LINGAM. When SIVA refuses in the beginning, RAAVANA tears his stomach and with the intestines he plays, RUDRA VEENA; after which SIVA-MAHADEVA comes infront of him to grant his ATMA-LINGAM. But this music representing that episode is just exquisite and am so enamored by the lyrics. SRUSHTI-STITHI-LAYA KAARAKA, SIVA-MAHADEVA. Nothing is beyond HIM.
