I like men who cry, they show heart and strength. I hate men who laugh at men who are emotional!!!

This song makes me cry every time I hear it. It's so haunting & beautiful & straight from her soul. I love Keith Urban because for him to feel her pain & openly show it he has to be a compassionate & loving person.

I cried like a baby the first time I saw this performance. I love Keith Urban. He totally wears his heart on his sleeve. The guy can SING too😍😍😍 This must be an edited video cause Ryan Seacrest talks to the judges & asks Keith about his emotional reaction. If I can find that video I'll send it to you if you like?

It was a personal song about her father walking out on her. And how her husband stepped up and how her kids won’t have to worry

That was also very emotional because the song was about her father.

Joyce Myers, it is all, or 99% about her real life experience with her dad - I don't think she'd of been that emotional over the show, just guessing.

@5.09 Keith Urban thinking, "if i ever see this mutt im gonna kick the shit out of him" (as every actual FATHER on the planet that watched this video is also thinking) Mr Urban, he gets it. the tears are where a man cannot have the immediate release of the anger he's feeling as the manifestation of that anger is not present at the time. i feel it with him. no child is worthless, but a deadbeat is (i wont use the term "deadbeat dad" as "Dad" is a term of respect and a person that refuses his child AINT a dad)

Gutsy performance Kelly. Badass writing
@donnone72954 жыл бұрын
Beautiful song that Kelly wrote while she was pregnant with her first child. She did have the second child after this performance witch was the "Last Season" of AmericanIdol on FOX Network. The next year ABC picked up the show with Katie Perry, Luke Bryan (Country), and Lionel Richie as judges but kept Ryan Seacrest as host. If you don't know Lionel "Hello", "Dancing on the ceiling " and a little song he co-wrote with Michael Jackson called "We are the World" originally for Africa and 15 years later for Hattie. Unfortunately Kelly and Brandon have split but Kelly and Reba are tight (Brandon is Reba's step-son) but Reba is still Grandma. Kelly has her house in LA and after coaching on NBC "The Voice" she has her own talk show and currently sub for Simon on AGT.

@@emmavink Exactly. People often forget that children somehow instinctively seek the same kind of relationships that they are witness to as they grow. If you are in a loveless marriage for the children, don't be surprised if the children find themselves in loveless relationships. I have watched many reactions to this song, and I am tired of comments condemning Kelley's ex-husband, but more specifically, comments that attempt to paint a failed marriage as the equivalent of an absentee father. That is an insult that will cut deep on men who were unable to match with their forever partner the first time, but will never love anyone as much as he loves his children.

Well....I'm not sure he followed through on the whole "restoring her faith in men" thing since she filed for divorce and it looks like he was cheating on her. If he continues to be a great father, then one could say "he restored her faith in fathers". There are tons of people who are great dads or moms, but suck at being a spouse. 🤷♀️🤓
