I am ashamed I never followup Tufail sahabs family, I thought elite cultural theater and Dastangoi gone with Tufail Niazi sahab. It is so heartwarming to see his brother. wondering where these assets were hidden all those decades. After Tufail sahab, Ustad Ameer Ali Khan (Allah maghfirat farmaye) had glimpse of that particular adaaegi. Dream Journey Team .... guys...... Thank You So Much for curating such aweso-amaizing gems.

Everytime it makes me cry. Everytime! My God, he is sureela and intense even when he is narrating. Each part of his body seems to be in unison with the act as if he is the love-stricken Ranjha himself. Qurban shb, is a quintessential folk doyen and gem of Punjab. I had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Ustad Qurban Niazi but he sang his upbeat tunes including 'Challa' and 'Tere Ishq Nachaya' but this is something else, entirely else. Also, these instrumentalists are brilliant especially the bansuri player. Changi ranjhay wali wanjali wajayi ne!

Wah. Always heard of this beautiful epic but always about the part after Ranjha becomes a jogi. Never even knew there was such a interesting preface to that and sung so beautifully. The melodious voice mixed with the flute had me hooked to every word. Arif Ali Sahab, you have preserved such a beautiful uncommon part of the epic that will go down many generations now! If there are any further such videos then would love to see them on The Dream Journey 🙏🏻❤️

Yes this is the daastaan gohi style of telling the story and then singing it followed by similar interludes. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it and found value in it. I was hoping to someday record a full two hour recital of the Heer Waris Shah. Dua karein ke ho paaye.
