I was just as nervous as her and failing both my mock tests (9 minors and 1 or 2 serious faults). Passed first time with 3 minors but honestly, to anyone still learning and hoping to pass their test - the hard part is NOT the test. The hard part is after you pass, when you're on your own 🤢🤢🤢 . So take your time with lessons, it's not a race!

Well done for passing! I feel anxious when I drive by myself! Just remember everything you have learnt and you should be safe, and don't take opportunities you wouldn't normally take.

Good luck on your test, I was mega nervous but did pass and had such a friendly examiner who was happy to chat and joke during my test and that helped me loads. Examiner said they all love commentary driving as helps them see what you are seeing, planning etc.. I’m now having some confidence issues driving on my own but a friends helping me and I know I’ll get there and if I get really stuck I’ll ask my instructor for more lessons in my car.

Love how shes explaining her thoughts as well. Gives us an idea of the mind of a learner doing their test. Passed 5 months ago, still nervous when driving. Had my first scratching another car when parking on my horrible street. Didn't help my confidence, went out 2 days after and drove fine but was questioning everything. These videos really help with nerves when driving, even when the topic isn't about nerves. Keep it up.

Im nervous and feel stupid for having so many lessons my last test was 18 months ago i moved back down south where i was brought up and not had much luck with driving instructors as last one took me to the wrong test centre I said it was wrong one and got to correct one to late, was so upset. Been having more lessons since and started going out in my partners car aswell, made a mistake got in wrong lane at the roundabout left instead of right but we couldn't go left as it was the motor way so had to get out of a tricky situation, but my partner said we are going back there again to do it right 😅

I'm sure with practice she'll definitely pass! Perhaps using a sat nav too. But it's always better to make the mistakes now in the mock test rather than the real one 👍 good luck 🤞 for your real exam Jackie you have definitely got this

with my anxiety near test i did the same, i did extra 15-20 hours in last few weeks. and my test should been classed as extended driving test like what you do if you get banned and need to re take test mine was 55 mins, so the extra hours for sure helped, as i was ready way before and had skill just my nerves so as i was ready we went to places id tend to avoid or shown dislike previous lessons, much more harder hill starts, right angle left turn from a 70 road where to do it safe you have to manage the traffic behind you so you can be at safe speed to exit as it was 15 mph junction so sharp so very early braking warning others in plenty time. but the extra lessons and last week i book every free slot i could, only issue he had with me is non eco driving, still not eco driver prob never will be i like engine sound no matter what it is so very rare i have radio on, the extra lessons turned in to more advanced stuff preparing for much more harder than test routes so try to tick all boxes on things you might have to deal with. sure helped keep nerves in check as time for test was one with car and a test what felt endless got back so late his other test been there 10 mins plus they standing outside all other tests were back out again, 55 mins 2 minors pass first time, purely for my anxiety / nerves with a extra long test so glad i decided to do much more before, as i been really pushed in much harder than test conditions much more stressful situations made it much more easy to bring the stress back down during test as dealt with far worse

Wow she’s from Brockley ! Love Brockley it’s so nice. I was super nervous as well my first test, I would say her car is working against her, a punto is a very difficult car to drive. I failed my first in Bromley with 2 serious, one because I was going too slow and another for not checking my mirrors when changing lanes. After that I started driving my car as well as my instructor’s, she had a Micra and I have a Polo, the Polo taught me to drive 100%, it’s amazing the difference a car makes to build confidence. I passed second time with 2 minors, one for a stall because my instructor’s car because it had an engine issue (yes, she told me the day before the exam the car had mechanical issues) and another for a restriction on those poles you need to drive in the middle (no clue what those are called 😂) and I was a little close to one of the poles but I would say driving a car that builds your confidence is crucial

30:10 I think she did right, shouldn't just trust a signal but make sure they're actually going to turn into the road before you pull out of the junction

True. Especially with motorbikes and mopeds. But when you see a car indicate and slow down you’re just wasting everyone’s time when you’re sitting at the give way line still

Hi Jackie you can talk out loud on your test like you did at the end with Francis believe me it helps and whilst you are doing this you forget about how nervous you are. Rescue remedy is good but eat a banana if you like them an hour before. I passed my test first time with 3 minors . I was as nervous as you but on my test day I talked through it and within 5 minutes forgot my nerves . Also look at the sat nav often you will see a turn coming up which enables you to plan for it . Never think you have failed I thought I had failed three times in my test and I had actually passed . If you go the wrong way don’t worry keep going and the sat nav will reroute you don’t try to change lanes at the last minute you can’t fail for going the wrong way as long as you do it safely. I went the wrong way and my examiner said we are not here to see your sense of direction but if you do the wrong way correctly he won’t fail you . Also that pull in on the right . Pull in as close as you can as you can sort it when you are there and always stop for cars that are coming . I hope this helps it did me good luck you have got this xxxxx
