I booked my test two days after passing my theory on 24th July. I literally set my alarm for 5;55 am, as the site opens at 6am and I managed to book a test for dec 13 at my local test centre [I passed 🤓]. So best advice for those struggling to book is to check the site soon as it opens

passed first time with 1 minor…I watched ALL Morden driving videos, search rose hill roundabout explanation and Morden hall roundabout explanation…there is also an app where you pay £12 and it gives you ALL UK driving test routes…go through all 19 routes at least once!!! Good luck, be yourself, look in mirrors, and listen to instructions..,when reversing remember to look back, stop when other cars / pedestrians come…I didn’t get tested on parallel / bay parking but make sure you are confident in this just incase….i had about 20 hours worth of lessons…find a really good instructor I had a nasty one, went through about 4 instructors, my last one was the best.

@@chickenrun2095 i used a site called driving test cancellations 4 all. It helped me get a earlier test :) and as for your test just make sure you go over everything even to the controls (turning dipped headlights etc) its always handy to do a few test routes as well. Also plenty off mock test, it allows you to get silly mistakes out off the way, i never passed one mock test but glad i did them, you will be surprised how many mistake you make that you would never normally do. My nerves and anxeity are bad, so i took some calms and sucked on some rescue pastles. And keep talking your self through it all, remeber you can do this. The examiner wants to feel safe so take your time at every junction, keep safe distances on duels etc. Youve got this. Please keep me updated :)

Hi Francis I would like to do a mock test with you in Morden If that possible please, I did my test on 1st of January in Morden Just before the last 30 seconds of the test got failed 2 minors for Move off 1 Serious for whole near 40 minutes of test 😔😔😔 I could see the test centre in my right hand side and passed the junction with Asda left hand side while Amber on traffic light Examiner said its a serious fault I am very gutted 😔😔😔 Managed to book another in 2 weeks time Lucky on that But I would like to do a mock test if that’s possible Never done a mock test before apart from one with my instructor Please let me know I am happy to use my own car if it’s possible as I used that on my test too Thank you Francis By the way I am big big fan of your channel Cheers

I needed to hear this, my test is coming up in two weeks at Hither Green, had a bad experience at a roundabout where a bad van driver pushed, it was very scary and this has left me having anxiety anytime I get to that roundabout.

Parallel parking Do you get a serious fault if the car is far away from the curb ? If you go forward and try to get closer to the curb do you get a minor for adjustment?

No you won't get a serious if you're far away from the curb just don't park in the middle of the road or hit anyone and you're good to go. You won't get a minor for adjusting either but there's a limit on how many you can do and if you cross that then you get a minor

I’m of the mind people should re-do their practical every 5-10 years. If Steve was taking his test again he would have failed. Either there are a lot of inadequate drivers or there’s a lot of unnecessary stuff in driving exams, that won’t be necessary in day to day driving. Just like the speed limit.

This is a very good point! Steve is a decent driver and I felt very safe with him but he wouldn't pass a driving test 🤔

He failed on things that are pretty important imo, such as being able to navigate a roundabout properly and safely. He is able to get away with it in real life cos no one is going to pull him up on it, not even the cops, but for new drivers it is a skill they need to be taught correctly, its not something that is superfluous, although there are some things I would agree are.

Woah.. for sure some instructors might have reason to keep you on longer than you need but 99% of instructors right now are super busy and would like you to pass as fast as possible to be able to get through their crazy backlog.
