I think it's important to note that the Lotus did not *physically* move Lua into the Void, herself. Lua could do that anyway via technology - the same technology we use to bring it back *out* of the Void during the Second Dream quest. It'd done it before on enough occasions to warrant an entire tower being constructed to further mask its location. What I think we should be focusing on is not that Lotus *hid* Lua in the Void, but that she *kept Wally away from it.* As a Sentient on Lua, she was exposed to Void energy for over a thousand years while she watched over us from her throne. That changed her. That's why Erra said she "has [our] fire" during the New War's prologue - she has a sizeable degree of void powers, herself... Just not in the way we do. Sentients absorb Void energy like sponges, by design. Soaking that energy up for a thousand years, adapting to it along the way... Certainly explains that strange energy field she put around us at the end of the New War.

@@sitchreapotere1073 but the void is poison to the sentients, they don’t soak it up. And I have to disagree here, but the reason will be revealed in a different video. There is a reason the moon can be pulled out of the void with orokin technology I only briefly touched on it, though. Also… that would insinuate that she met Wally while in the void, meaning that he wouldn’t have had anything to do with the moon’s disappearance and thus the quote itself really doesn’t have any meaning. After all, what’s the miracle? There’s only been one designation for that particular incident, and that’s the moon disappearing, the reason alas was shocked in the first place. I do have another part to this video coming soon, I suppose we’ll see what you think.

​@TheDsIEGE The void is indeed a poison to sentients, as Lotus said, but it is unclear to what extent. We know that Sentients travelled to Tau through void and it made them barren "Me and my kind become barren when crossing the gap. It is the one flaw that we never overcame", but we don't know what other impact void has on sentients, but it doesn't seem to be lethal. In the context of Lotus' interaction with Wally the transmissions during the Ropalolyst fight are very interesting: that she was imprisoned in Lua's belly, that she was changed and especially "I have seen the wall's other face, too. I have heard the voice." Also, interestingly from Lotus' void powers perspective, it is strongly implied in the Duviri paradox quest that the Drifter moves the Warframe using Lotus' hand and even Teshin says that the "hand may offer a way to control them". When it comes to moving the Lua in and out of the void - if it was a miracle, then the mechanism is surprisingly technical that consists of three independent parts: 1) a masking/cloaking mechanism obfuscating the Lua location in the void. 2) Void compasses for steering "There are three Void Compasses that steer The Moon within the Void" and 3) Pendula "These Pendula keep The Moon stable in the Void". It may be a wild theory but it is possible that the Orokin intended to eventually travel to Tau by making from Lua a giant spaceship that would transport them through the Void.

Since Whispers I was wondering how Entrati was going to go back and make Warframes before Warframes were "supposed to be invented" and how that's going to effect our timeline and such, but you've brought up a very interesting point.... How many times has this happened? "Our Paradox" is the one to go, because he's the one who has experience with running a timeline over and over again and now has a way to escape it if things were to go sideways. That's big dude. I don't think the Lotus is doing anything sinister, quite the opposite. The man in the wall is hungry, focusing on the tenno, and she noticed. So, she goes right to the edge of the cliff, where the void is strongest (not to mention a grave threat to her as a sentient) and stands between Wally and the rest of the system. She's doing what any good mother does, make herself a target to protect her children.

I think the price for Lotus to save her "children" was for her to sacrifice (or maybe even kill herself) her favorite one... giving rise to us. That's also why the void wants us.. not ONLY to seal the deal with Lotus but in making the deal we became an anchor in both time and space; reality shifted around us... not just time but space as well and in that moment became unique. Remember we DIED at Ballas' hand during the Natah quest... Ballas impaled us with a sentient killing sword... but yet we live. In fact in the further questline we REGAIN our voidpowers and the drifter actually comments to Ordis earlier that he hadn't obtained his voidpowers YET... So it's my belief we were throw through time by the deal with the man in the wall and through dimensions by Lotus through her deal with him. It's ALSO why the drifter needs to MAKE the call the Lotus answers on that pager (Temporal mechanics 101: Effect can PRECEED cause) because he's the only one who's travelled through time before at that point so it's easier for him to shatter the timeline yet again as opposed to the operator who is by all accounts and purposes a dead man walking. However I think it's going to be the OPERATOR who'll play the major part in 1999 because he has travelled through DIMENSIONS before because he came from Lua which Lotus hid in the void and actually came from the Zariman Ten who was "stuck" in the void as well... I think that by quantum mechanics ideals the character we play is in a quantum superposition. As for Natah hearing the Angels... I think she's hearing the sound of the arbiter of death. Void is oblivion; the great indifference in and of itself. As for the deal we made... I think we established the connection that allowed the man in the wall to shatter through dimensions. He doesn't appear as a doppel of ourselves for nothing. I think in some other dimension (or time) the operator who never escaped the Zariman actually succumb to the void...and a hole always hungers for filling but he was kept at bay by the wall between space and time... who better to strike a deal with and make a quantum superpositional anchor between ALL time and dimension than another quantum superpositional being.

One thing i think is interesting is just how are we going to stop the indiferrence? To me, despite the fast closing chance of stopping the void, we've already taken our steps towards stopping it by emotion or, more specifically, love as opposed to albhrects plan. Remember, the new war ended because of the operator/drifters love for the lotus, albhrects lab was not saved by fighting the construct, but by offering love (specifically loids love). The jade light quest also to me, alrhough it may not relate to the main storyline at first, implies to me that jades and the stalkers love for each other, and now stalkers love for his child, will be a key step towards stopping the indifference. Thanks for hearing out my theory! 😊

This is exactly why I subscribed to you. Every single detail is looked at and studied, cataloged and tested against hypotheses that make both the most and the least sense until you've made a connection somewhere in between. I never even considered that he was basically making timelines until he got one with the highest possibility of taking down the man in the wall. I did, however, suspect that maybe the Lotus had also made a deal with the man in the wall. Somebody else made a very good point about lotus being in the void for centuries and because she's sentient she absorbed void energy and gained void powers, but different than ours. Explaining why she was able to hold back wally at all in the end of the new war. I believe that when wally vanished, he either put himself or, at the very least, an impression of his desires within her. The fact that he blinked forward at her, her little smile, her being distant after that and now her suffering from him calling out to her, which has never been a problem before, is all significant. Man though... just the idea of Albrecht WANTING to bring Wally into the regular world to simply make him "real" enough to kill is wild, but it makes the most sense. It's also interesting that Wally wants to experience more than just existing. The first taste of ANYTHING he had was fear, then pain and sorrow. Now, he wants all of the feelings and experiences. The fact that the deal the Tenno made with Wally that involved all of the other versions of the Tenno dying makes SO much more sense now. That was Wally blocking Albrecht's plans. His more viable timelines to take him down 🤯

One thing that's interested me for a while is Albrecht's lack of understanding regarding who The Man in the Wall is, and what he represents. He doesn't fully grasp that the Void isn't a window, it's a mirror. Albrecht always wondered why no one else could see what he saw when they traversed the Void, but the truth was that they had seen it. In fact, they had seen it long before Albrecht ever messed with the Void. Albrecht gazed into the void and saw his own reflection within it, and it terrified him. Albrecht saw a horrid, indifferent monster that everyone else already knew as Albrecht Entrati. The Monster isn't controlling him, isn't impersonating him, it IS him, and he can't understand that.

Great video once more! I want to 'call' your attention to something my clan noticed when we played the quest. When you move around the Sanctum, you can hear that the Lotus is indeed singing; spatial awareness and all that. So, my thoughts automatically went back to Erra - "So what are you waiting for? Sing for us, sister! Call Them Home!" It sounds like a lullaby - for The Dreamers. The thought process there, is she is calling the Tenno... either to wake up or to fall back asleep. Then we have the 'call' from the kinepage, linking our timeline and another. (Why Arthur mentions people nicking his stuff. So, do we possibly go back and steal more? Lol Just a thought.) And just how is he texting his own kinepage? Is he borrowing one from someone else or do they experience Eternalism - here and not here? A tinfoil theory as well is that - the only reason the Lotus and the Tenno could hear it is because of Sentient/Void/Infested energy. We're sort of attuned to it, so is that the reason we can hear it but not anyone else? The Cavia haven't much noticed her but is she possibly blocking them out for a reason? Shielding them in much the same way she has the Tenno. I think you may be right in that these 'devices' Entrati has possibly made are in fact sentient 'beings' much like Warframes and the Helminth. I use the term 'beings' pretty loosely. Also, is it me or is the Indifference moving closer to the Sanctum? We've been trying to track with screenshots but it just feels like its moving closer and closer with each passing week. A note on Eternalism - I think A LOT of this theory is at play here for the foreseeable future. To answer a question you asked in the video : (Have we failed before?) Yes. I believe we have. Entrati has and has not gone back in time several times; trying over and over and over again. How many times did Drifter try to leave Duviri before it worked. (Again! Again!) I like to think of lore and things in this manner : Everything has and has not happened. We did and did not save the Lotus. We have and have not defeated Ballas. The Orokin and Sentients have and have not made it to Tau. The Zariman did and did not experience the Void Accident. When you think of this during theorycrafting - You really put your tinfoil hat on for ALL possibilities. Its time to get your Warframe ready to head into 1999! Honestly, I think the biggest turning point for the whole lore of warframe, both literally and gameplay, is Albrecht discovery of the void. While all empire has its beginning and end, Glory and Tragedy compiled. Albrecht's story seemed to be something that's tied to all of warframe. It feels like it's HIS story and it seems like everyone are just thriving on in their lives, what may bring good or bad it does, it all really just comes down to him. Albrecht seems to be the one to open the curtain of the story and he himself would be the one who'll direct it's call.

My thoughts at 10:17: I suspect there used to be more of the Hex than those we met at Tennocon. Those other volunteers might have succumbed to the Helminth strain and that might be one of the big reasons why the Hex are after Entrati. (Given Arthur's reaction to seeing Excalibur during the demo, it could be that the Hex never saw the end result of the Heminth transformation, until now.) It's those lost "volunteers" I'm thinking we'll at least start our time in 1999 with. New to your channel, but been enjoying your videos. They're scratching my Warframe itch since I don't have time to jump into the game these days.

I kinda thought the same thing. Same as our drifter and operator being tugged into other timelines while holding off the lotus at the camp, that moment at the end could be an encounter for certain.

I've been getting back into Warframe. You make the best lore videos for this game, in my opinion. Watched a bunch of other channels before this, and it just left me with way more questions than answers. I have a couple thousand hours in game, but I completed the main story piecemeal, and I had a hard time understanding what was really going on lore wise. Thanks for your work.

Love your videos! The line about the Lotus being the Daughter, then the Mother, then becoming the Witch could also refer to the Fates, the personification of destiny in several mythologies. I Greek mythology in particular, they are three sisters, one young, one middle-aged and one old, and they spin, draw out and cut the thread of human life. The Lotus saying she is about to become the "Witch" could mean she is about to act as the eldest Fate, who brings an inevitable end to each life. It kind of fits with the overall ominous tone of the story since Whispers in the Wall, doesn't it?

If anything we may need to kill albretch since he was the one who woke it from its slumber the main catalyst. We may have struck a deal but Albretch has a stronger connection to it since he was the first thing it saw and imitated. With him gone would weaken it and allows us to send it back once again into deep sleep.

I just noticed, if you stand next to Lotus, and look up and behind you at the Lab, you'll see Wally's head. Above him is the Requiem symbols as well as what seems to be a void portal. I don't know if this was here before the update or not. All I can see is that he doesn't look happy.

The timeline as far as I can see it right now is like this. Imagine the Titanic, it represents the timeline. Now imagine that the length of it is infinite. An iceberg hits the Titanic but it doesn't sink it just keeps going with the iceberg stuck into it and then another iceberg and another smash into its infinite hull affecting the evergrowing ecosystem in the Titanic. Every change in the past has an impact and you'll have things from the past leak into the present and the present being able to swim into the past. All of this is associated with the Drifter it seems who is by themselves a time paradox. And this paradox seems to create more and more paradoxes in time and space. LIke having the old version of the Stalker in Duviri who never touched the Jade light. Or napping the Operator into a point of time months after Narmar came to rise. That's why they are called the Drifter. They drift through time and also seemingly space.

Something I was always wondering was: If the Tenno were in a deep sleep, for centuries even, hidden savely away on Lua. Why wake them on account of a functioning Warframe being about to be taken by the Grineer? The Corpus- or rather our good old friend Alad V certainly had fun with one. So could the very start of the Game's story be driven by a choice of the Lotus deciding differently, or was it someone, or something else, that had a hand in it? And to add to the list of coincidentes, why were we Transference-Linked to That specific Warframe in the first place? Sure it adds to the "Hero's Story", but with the was the Story has been developing, there is likely more to that as well I feel like.

If I may, perhaps the story of Voruna's leverian may shed a little light? Near the climax of the continuity ritual, the child inside the pod stirs, and Voruna stumbles. My only guess in that direction was that they (maybe exclusively the queens) knew where you were inside the specific located warframe pod.

Hmmmm what if all the Tenno we see fall over and die as we shake Wallys hand in The New War each represent an entire timeline, trying and falling? And the one that emerges not-dead is the one that is grasping a handshake from the Drifter... the symbolism is definitely there! And the next update is called Koumei and the FIVE FATES and again revolves against the Quills, who are aware of multiple parallel timelines existing. Like Sans from Undertale, but just in Warframe... Yea you definitely have me intrigued with this one.

I never thought about it, but fact that in the intro, you hear what is clearly modern day life support and monitors, and the constant references to dreaming throughout all the story, as well as the whispers quest referring to Loid as the "sleeper", but what if he wasn't, what if this is all one big dream, Azzathoth style of you're into Lovecraft. What if the entirety of the story is in the mind of a bedridden individual? The allusion to the indifference being the afterlife makes more sense if it's someone at death's door, fearing what's next.
