Honestly at 1st when I saw the original tease of WF 1999 I was like "OK so DE just came up with the same idea for Warframe origins as I did" When it comes to why we have so many unique designs when with the lore behind Alad V and Zanuka, Stalker, and Helminth we know Orokin could just make them all look exactly the same, like proxies off of factory line, and just install whatever powers they needed in them, basically each specific design is a tribute to a "Hero of the past", but with lore Entratis entries provide it seems like DE didn't do so, otherwise they would lunge themselves knees deep into "creator paradox"

The more I think about it, the more I am beginning to ponder if the Hex are essentially meant to function as a form of fail safe in the event that Entrati turns villain. The primary purpose of the team may not be necessarily to deal with Albrecht but in the event that he does start acting up then he knows that they 'should' be enough to deal with him. I mean let's think about this for a moment: 1. Albrecht has it in his head that he may have never escaped from his initial encounter with the man in the wall. 2. Notes about the Hex from Entrati make it clear that they are meant to 'save' or assist in saving him, maybe delivering would be the right word 3. The mad man actively came up with plans and contingencies for his 'war' with the indifference and yet also calls himself out for getting things wrong, such as the motivations of his doppleganger. Which makes me think he considered the possibility he could very well the 'bad guy' and need to be taken out. 4. Albrecht seems to have intentionally cultivated his messianic status in 1999, those figures tend to also end up martyrs, in mythology and real life.

I think the doppelgangers are a sign of a the man in the wall void infection, and with the void infection, it will consume the host, so the man in the wall can take over the mind and body, with that being said i think we are also infected too (more specificly the operator) and i believe albrechts infection is further along then ours. So, if what you say about the hex is right (and me with void infection), then they are a contingency for if the void infection takes over.

Im pretty sure that Arthur and Eleanor being Excal and Nyx respectfully, is just a nod by DE at their origins from DarkSector. Though in universe, if the two warframes are related, it may be the case that after the success of turning Arthur into Excalibur, Eleanor was given the Nyx strain due to an assumed compatibility. I am still firmly in the camp that Entrati brought Helminth back to 1999 instead of the Hex being a basis for the warframes we play.

In my understanding of Warframe's time travel mechanics (I'll be writing a detailed explanation on reddit when I have the time but this is a simplification) every time any entity travels back in time it creates a new "canon" future for them to return to. The future they travelled from is no longer canon, yet exists in a mental timeline that led to the new future. So to put it into an example, there existed an original 1999, untouched by anyone. In the future of that timeline Albrecht time travelled to it the first time and did some unknown things. Then he came back into a new future affected by his changes. If someone, a god looked at the timeline now in 1999 Albrecht travelled from a place that didn't exist anymore and came back into a new future. The original timeline is buried under a new one, with the time travel being a diagonal staircase from the old future into the new past. All that is to say, my own interpretation of Eleanor's lines is that she remembers all of our previous interactions with the past, and we too have seen them all. Whispers in the wall, you are late? That is the first timeline we have edited, as us coming there and being told we're late created a new future we returned to. The fact that she says we'll make a difference this time around makes total sense knowing we didn't change anything "plotwise" during the whispers in the wall, just witnessed it (but the knowledge we witnessed still created a new future, although with an almost identical past)

My understanding is that for every "variation" (a choice or random outcome), there is a timeline where that happened. We experience a set line of events, but that's more from the limitations of our linear perspective. A god would see all variations, that's my understanding of what is meant by Wally being confined to "the Strands of Khra," he's forced to our linear perspective and can't just jump to the "instant win" scenario. Time Travel, from how I understand, possibly adds a new set of events. If a scenario has results A, B, and C, going back creates outcomes A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, where outcome 1 is just the alternate timeline, while 2 is the one where you change more than just what initially could have happened. More entities add more depth. If 1999 works on Outcome A, you also have A1 (original 1999), A2 (Albrecht's timeline, what we see in Whispers since we were too late to rewrite history), and A3 (Warframe: 1999 quest timeline). My interpretation is that Elanor has that level of awareness to see A1-3 (or possibly more, if there is a timeline where Operator actually does join the Drifter) simultaneously. We'll make a difference this time around because this time we are able to actually affect the timeline.

1. I realized I'm stupid. For some reason it went totally past me that the item actually is called ARTHUR'S Kinepage. Probably because Kalymos led the way, I thought we took Albrecht's Kinepage, then apparently went blind and didn't read the name. Can't see the forest for the trees, just in reverse, I only saw the forest, not the tree I was running into. No wonder I was so confused about who the hell is sending the messages. 2. I do wonder about the madness of people turned Warframe. We have a few examples who didn't seem that mad to me at least. From an Orokin perspective maybe, but it's not a reliable perspective. That society in itself is quite unhinged. The autonomous Warframes seem more distressed and/or hyper focused on the thing they set out to do, than anything else. We have met and heard of a few now. They weren't transference controlled as far as I know, at least it wasn't specified to what degree the Orokin had to enforce control. Sorren, Jade and Umbra, are our best examples. None of them seemed all too unreasonable to me. Some angrier than others, sure. Some more free roaming than others, but mad? I wouldn't say that. Sorren has been disassociating, but displacing the self can be a response to trauma and guilt. Not being able to protect his partner and child, for example. (all while having his devotion to the Orokin tested by it) Jade we know little of, she has been defending the Stalker from the Tenno when the uprising happened, that we know. Other than that, her mental state is a question mark. Umbra was tortured and punished, his transformation served no purpose other than to entertain Ballas' perverse nature. After being forced to kill his own son, it's very understandable that revenge becomes the number one objective. Then I know of Dagath, who only went "mad" after she was decommissioned, which I think is a valid reason to be a bit rattled. If someone you like throws you away, after you have been happily catering to their every command..., don't think it wouldn't go down that well with most people. Then there is Dante, I don't think he even had any crack in his personality in the slightest. He made an attempt on his own life because of what he had found (when he was already a Waframe), but only to keep knowledge from ever getting into the wrong hands. Not because of madness. Correlation and causation, entangled, but not the same. Difficult to ride this line.

But one thing is certain, if this keeps on going, I'll be on the couch when Warframe 1999 comes out. Well originally the game Dark Sector is what warframe was build upon, wich took place in our world and time. The proto excalibur skin DSiege is wearing is what Hayden Tenno (the original excalibur) looked like in that game. His name, Tenno, is where our name as the Tenno derives from originally. But that was when the operator / drifter wasnt part of the story yet and now this has retroactively changed because Tenno now derives from Ten-0 based on the Zariman Ten Zero (i think) and 1999 is how DE is rewriting warframe's origin story.

We were forced to advance quickly before our plague overtook our ability to continue using technology. I, for one, got excited that the mall canonized the Americas (at least USA and South America, referenced in some of the menu items).

Secondly, i just want to share something that i am speculating with concerning Parvos Grannum. With Dante unbound and Jade shadows releaseing in the order that they did, it brings up an interesting idea, Parvos already made a chpalon back to the person they were. I say this because Parvos was the one who approached Druses and made a deal with him in Dante unbound, and in the next quest he tells Ordis that he CAN make him back to who he was as the best of bones it makes me think he has already done it to Druses. I hope this makes sense, and i can't wait to see what comes next

Loid himself said that next time we should just arrive on time instead, "I take care of what i'm best at: punctuality". He mentioned that when saying he will adjust the vessel. Eleanore probably saw that memory in our head and is glad we are now going far enough back in time to make a difference. Remember that all possibilities and points in time are real in the here and now, especially with the void involved. Well, until one is made definitive, through very special means. (maybe)

You're definetly the best channel when it comes to analyzing warframe lore! I had no idea of the cards regarding info on every hex member. Eleanor in my opinion is very concerning, to me the deadliest of them all. What if the tecnocyte inside her goes haywire and makes her lose control, or she becomes part of the hivemind? She could effectively mind control them all to do what she wants to some extent, looks like they are aware when eleanor is inside their mind so maybe they can resist? Also the line regarding arthur being extremely loyal to his sister mentioning that it could become problematic, so maybe the others would want to end her if she goes insane while arthur would protect her at any costs? I'm so excited for this update, even more than new war!

The first time i got msg from Arthur I had been running missions with a friend (baby tenno) and had some serious issues when I was on Warframe. 0 issues when I was on Operator, but the second I hoped into my frame i had lags, skills didn’t work and so on. Personally, I believe the Hex and protoframes work like the Vex work in Destiny. The precursor Vex that look futuristic are actually from the past, and the Mossy old Vex are from the future. The Warframes we have come first, and Albrecht made the Hex after traveling back to another timeline where he made the protoframes.

I don't know if anyone has previously mentioned this - with reference to Arthur being the proto-warframe, there seems to be an example of art imitating life or vice versa as the case maybe in that sometimes when we load into a community hub area sometimes just before all the other players are rendered in we see them all as the base Excalibur body shape for a moment.

It be pretty funny if Entrati is actually in the Plaza with them. It would make sense bc its 1) close to the Hex. 2) A safe space. 3) Access to computers easily 4) IF Entrati is the one controlling Arthur when he’s using the computer, then there’s gotta be something that he is using to make that happen without using / little to no Void powers, (maybe has something similar to Lotus’ helmet?) 5) There’s gotta be a shop that was underdevelopment and is being covered by a façade or sorts. It’d make sense bc of of Entrati’s Kavat is able to lie down in thr middle of the plaza while no one is there. 6) He loves his kavat, aint no way he’s going to a place where there’s constant danger. 7) As to why he hasn’t shown himself to the Hex, he knows they want him dead, but the Tenno does not due to necessity. 8) Blue postules in the plaza could tell us where there has been void usage or where Manny looked. If it’s the latter then it could explain as to how the pager got to Lotus. 9) I think (in theory) Eleanor (Nyx) suit was nullified by Entrati bc of her psychic abilities, he made it so she can’t hear him or see him in the future. I think a lot…..too much

I am somewhat confused. Did Entrati actively travel to and from 1999? If he took samples from the Hex and then took them back to Deimos, that would mean he would have traveled back and forth? Or are the giants from a 1999 Deimos and what we see in the labs are ancient, with the lab itself being from 1999? Or did he take the Hex to 1999 with him?

I'm pretty sure he went back and forth. We see Loid destroy the time machine on his last journey, so I'd assume he could have always come back if it were still operational.

In terms of science fiction novels I re-read End of the World Blues by Jon Courtenay Grimwood recently. There were more parallels to Warframe than I expected, but the novel itself seems like a riff on Moorcock's Dancers at the End of Time, which is itself a riff on HG Wells.

I'm imagining there are going to be more "timeline elimination events", such as the one we saw on the Zariman, where the Operator accepts Wally's offer and sees countless other versions of themselves "ending"... But I can't really make any kind of speculative guesses on the matter; don't know enough about the events of 1999 yet - it's just that seeing the consequences of the Operator failing to (or being prevented from?) accepting the "void infection" left a strong impression on me. That said... Given Eleanor's awareness of other timelines, it makes me wonder how much she can tell us - what the limiting factors are... Like, are there points at which the very act of divulging too much information, of the type that one is normally unable to access in their own, timeline, will cause a split into yet another branch on the timeline tree, and that's why she can't just tell us what to (not) do/what is going to happen? Or, perhaps, she can share everything she knows with no consequence, but the information she recieves is either too limited in some way (i.e. she only sees flashing visions of single moments (as with the confrontation between Arthur and Excalibur), where she has to try and piece together the events she's just seen, speculate if they're related at all, what they imply, and if the information is even useful), or (which I think is more likely) there is simply too much information available; the information she seeks to aid her and the group in their current timeline is avilable and reachable to her, but buried in the infinity of other timelines, meaning that any useful information she gleans is merely stumbled upon serendipitously - or, perhaps the Eleanors of other timelines can act as connection points of an "information net", guiding the visiting minds of their other-timeline counterparts to the information they seek, making her potentially omniscient, but is cut off from such power because she can only channel the information through the limiting "lens" of her human(oid) mind... I also feel like there's a connection to be made between the actual time-travel that the Drifter (and their Warframes?) is going to be making, and Eleanor's insigth into other timelines; the source of both of these ways of non-standard interactions with time seem to be facilitated by the Helminth strain... And how different is the process of Helminth time-travel, vs. whatever approach Albrecht invented (unless he used the same process... But I find that unlikely, given the state of the labs in the Sanctum Anatomica, which house the Grey Strain giants, not the rampant growths of the infestation; I think Albrecht developed the "Helminth travel" on the spot in 1999, to allow the Drifter to follow him - but then again, the reason they seem different may simply be that he did not have access to "cleaner" samples of the infestation, like he did in his lab. Side note; if I was to bet on which one of the Warframe factions that developed any sort of time travel, it would have been through Corpus tech (Parvos?), Vor's connection to the Void, or the Tenno manipulating Orokin-era technology - not the out-of-control hyper-aggressive mutant hivemind being manipulated into doing space magic by a crazed, desperate, scientist... EDIT; Apologies for the ramble and/or flawed trains of thought - it is 6 AM...

Quill onkko makes references to choices forever closing off particular timelines so... we may come to find that some specific events as you mention could be catalysts for such a thing, and I'm wondering if the unum and the Quills are the real reason Koumei is being set in Cetus... I think this quest will be revolutionary when it comes to WFs overall narrative. And TWITW and Jade Shadows Quest set something up: A Time Jump in The Origin System. Were going back in time to change something, I believe as a result: We will not return to the place and time we left. Jade Shadows had to come out before WF1999 to make this happen as we're likely retuning to a point where Orion/Sirius will be fully grown and The Stalker will not the character we remember. They gave Stalker a voice for a reason, I believe what will happen is, he's going to be retired as the Assassin we know and we will acquire him, along with a Gemini Skin. And we will have a new assassin, likely from either the Narmer or Murmur since that would much more appreciate. I also believe Orion/Sirius could be a feature players do want: A Fully customizable and modular warframe. This is purely speculation on my part, but due to JS and the Stalker themed Nighwave, we could very well be getting set up for a "Sacrifice" level quest where The Stalker is acquired.

When it comes to prophecy, its not necessarily mean it will happen. If we look at the Duviri storyline, the drifter was executed so many times and each time the king or emperor tenno would reset the day of the execution, it was until there was an interference that led the drifter escape the loop. And now Lotus ask the drifter to help and got back to 1999 to find Entrati. So my question is, Does it matter who goes to 1999, If the Tenno goes instead of the Drifter, would the outcome be different? Entrati asks for the Tenno, but Lotus asks the Drifter, both of them are champions and I do believe choosing one of the other will affect the outcome in some way, it has to if they implemented to the game.
