"I feel like this is a contested one." One of the least contested, actually. Even hard-core Star Wars fans knew Vader stood no real chance against Doom. Doom was immune to most Force abilities, his armor blocked stuff way better than lightsabers, and the fact that he could survive blasts from the Infinity Gauntlet means that Vader couldn't really hurt him in any meaningful way.

The reason his blood landed on the crystal in the first place was the heart was ripped out of his previous body a couple pf meters away and the crystal was in the splash zone

As much as I like Darth Vader more, Dr. Doom definitely beats him. The only reason he loses in the marvel universe (besides plot) is the his ego gets the better of him. With this death battle there was no ego.

The best Doctor Doom getting owned by his ego was when he didn't pay Luke Cage a measly 200 dollars for helping him out and Luke promptly walked into his presidential office equivalent and punched him repeatedly until his armor actually cracked and Doom finally gave in and gave Luke his money.

As a fan of both Marvel and Star Wars I can tell you that not only is the result not contested, but people were angry that Death Battle made such a one sided battle. Dr. Doom has straight up defeated not only characters who can destroy the universe, but people who are threats to the infinite multiverse (A collection of an infinite number of universes).

This is NOT contested. Let me give you a hint of what Doom deals with on a regular basis. Zebediah Kilgrave is a villain who emits pheromones that when he tells you to do something, you just do it. If he said to shoot yourself you'd just do it immediately. He tried to command Doom while face to face with his mask off, and Doom just refused to obey him because Doom obeys no one but himself. The Silver Surfer is a person that was given a drop of something called the Power Cosmic. This allows him to do godly things like fly across the universe and search every part of an entire galaxy in just minutes. Doom managed to take HIS power. The Beyonder is a being with so much power he's stronger than most of the MULTIVERSE, capable of destroying entire universes with a wave of his hand. Dr Doom managed to outsmart him and steal his powers. Dr Doom ONLY loses in the Marvel universe because they know how to take advantage of his ego and get him to make mistakes, or someone else that's ridiculously powerful comes to help them. When he JUST wants to kill you, there's pretty much nothing you can do to stop it. Darth Vader is one of the scariest mother fuckers in the galaxy, but Dr Doom is feared across the entire Marvel Multiverse. Harry Potter isn't that powerful AT ALL, so it's no wonder Luke Skywalker won. Don't take that as Star Wars is this incredibly powerful series, it's not THAT insane, though it can get crazy. Doom is Doom though.

In his own universe, yes, Vader is a nigh-unstoppable juggernaut with very few weaknesses (with electricity being his biggest weakness due to the fact that his suit is literally a mobile life support device, if that is disabled Vader is screwed if he can't get the suit repaired quickly). But the power scaling in both Marvel & DC are off the charts. If you stuck Vader in the Marvel universe, he'd probably fit in as a "one-shot" villain for a lone Hero like Miles Morales, but against one of the "flagship" powerhouse Heroes like Thor? Vader would get flattened. Keep in mind, planet-buster weapons/entities (like the Death Star or Centerpoint Station) are extremely rare in Star Wars, but Marvel & DC both have recurring characters whom are threats to entire planets (such as Galactus for Marvel & the Anti-Monitor for DC). Meanwhile, in the Marvel universe, Doom just on his own is enough of a threat to send entire Hero teams into "Red Alert" levels of activity, as even someone like Black Panther (who is the King of the most technologically advanced nation on Earth, in Wakanda) is very wary of having to face Doom himself. And Black Panther is one of the world's greatest fighters and strategists.

As for Vader, well, actually I can't think of anyone at the top of my head, but I'm sure there's someone more on his power level who would be a great opponent for him. While Vader doesn't have to win, it would be more fun if the outcome was slightly less one-sided.

There was a Clone Wars miniseries produced between the second and third prequel films, back before the series you saw. It's pretty popular actually, and was made by the creator of Samurai Jack, who was also the director of the Hotel Transylvania movies. I recommend the miniseries, it's not very long and it introduced a couple of the villains you probably saw in the later series

No, he didn't. Palpatine commanded the Empire, hence why he's the Emperor. Vader was his lackey, not even the number two man in the Empire. Tarkin commanded the entire military, while Vader only commanded the 501st, a single legion. Even after Tarkin's death, Vader was put under more scrutiny, displacing him even further down the chain of command. He constantly had to prove his worth to the Emperor, who was always looking to replace him because he was slightly above useless.

The film rights to Doctor Doom were bought by Fox along with the Fantastic 4 so the MCU couldn't use him until recently when Disney bought Fox which is probably why you'd never heard of him. There is a Fantastic 4 movie planned for the MCU now but we don't know much about it including if Doom will be in it.

There is actually 2 animated clone wars. One is 2003 version that is bit more cartoony and then there is better known 2008 version which is more computer generated. Also the long hair jedi Liam Neeson is Qui-gon Jinn, not Obi-wan kenobi. Qui-gon was obi-wans master and was suppose to be Anakins master but was later giving to Obi-wan then. Also siths have a way to keep themself alive by channeling their hatred and anger. I remember reading from legends that one of the siths was almost immortal when using this method but it did have its prize to pay.

Give it ten years and everyone will be dicriding him. He'll likely be a big Villian going forward after Kang and I'm almost certain that while Voldemort, Sauron, Penny-wise, Thanos, Darkseid are badass Doom will end up completing the big 3 (Joker, Vader, Doom)

Really if you get down to it almost every time Doom loses in Marvel is because the plot demands he loses or ego. Like his main foe, the Fantastic Four, the reason he never killed them is mostly because he wanted to embarrass the teams leader, Reed Richards. When he was faced with an evil zombie version of that same team he killed them all in 2 pages of the comic. I mean this is a guy that beat the Hulk unconscious while demanding Hulk say his name properly and was insulted when someone tried to burn him to death. Not because they tried to kill him, because they tried to do it with something as mundane as fire.

No, this Death Battle does have a pretty obvious outcome once you actually read up how insane Doctor Doom's powers actually are. Of course there are instances of Doctor Doom losing to foes much weaker than Darh Vader, but as they said, that is usually always a Doombot and not THE Doctor Doom. This match will at the very least 90% of the time end in an overwhelming victory for Doctor Doom. I mean, Doom has been an actual God more than once, and that is just not the kind of scale that the Force is equipped to deal with. Like the Force can be absolutley insane too, don't get me wrong, but when we get to the cosmic scale for Comic Book Universes like DC and Marvel, the scale just becomes ridiculous and impossible to beat.

Sorry Duck but Doctor Doom is OP. As for why he couldn't do the scar like Luke did in his battle, Vader is not a master of shatterpoint and Doom was also protected by magic making the force obsolete against him.

I implore you to watch the movies, even on your own. It is possible to do movie reactions on KZbin, they just can't exceed 10 minutes of footage. But if you don't want the hassle of editing a 2-hour movie into 10 minutes, you should still watch them just so you're not so completely lost. A lot of things in pop culture would make more sense.

I think the weirdest piece of evidence used was Doom led a country/planet vs Vader leading an army which seems very misleading considering Vader led a *galactic* army that conquered and destroyed several planets...Military strategy and political turmoil doesnt really translate into "I can hit people good" i.e. we usually don't have the president on the front line. They literally could have named anything else about Doom being OP but chose to talk about his hostile takeover of one planet as evidence to his ability to win a fight?

Yeah, this isn't even close. Doom obliterates vader so hard its not even funny. The feats provided where also... not even doom's best. Even at the time the video was released. Don't get me wrong, I do feel like vader was downplayed a little to, but doom is just on an entirely different level.

Liam Neeson DIDN'T play Obi-Wan Kenobi. He played Obi-Wan's master, Qui-Gon Jinn. Boomstick just likes calling him Liam Neeson instead. Mister Fantastic (real name Reed Richards) is the leader of the Fantastic Four and is the smartest human in the Marvel universe. And to put it simply, Doom HATES Reed. Doom's home country, Latveria, is somewhere in eastern Europe. Silver Surfer is a Marvel character who's a herald of Galactus, devourer of worlds. He's also pretty OP. And remember Kyle, comics are weird. They don't always make sense (Deadpool is a good example of that). And no matter how powerful a comic character in a movie is, odds are their comic counterpart is FAR more powerful.

This one is not as contested as you might think. Vader is one of the most powerful Sith lords in history and among the greatest swordsmen ever. With the Force at his command nothing compares to the dark lord. However, Doom is in a completely different league. Doom negates almost all of Vader's mental Force abilities. All Vader brings to the table are his physical attacks. His lightsaber is the only real threat to Doom. But even that is hardly a big deal since, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Galactis, Silver Surfer have all brought similar weapons and powers against him get nothing from Doom. The only real way to beat Doom is to outsmart him, the best way is having him beat himself something Vader has never really had to do. The Dark Lord is a hammer, an instrument of destruction and obedience mind games are not really in his wheelhouse. His best example of is manipulation of people is in the Force Unleashed games and he never does it again.
