If you are wondering, the line “that’s what you get for reviewing Foodfight” Jontron says is due to how everyone who knows Jontron’s channel all flooded to Channel Awesome to ask Doug to also review the exact same film he just did

That opening scene is also a reference to the opening scene of Halloween (1978), as when Michael Myers is killing his sister at the beginning of the movie, there's a moment where Michael looks at his hand while he's stabbing his sister.

If you’re curious, the one rating that’s higher than R is the NC-17 rating (X rating prior to 1990) where no one under 18 (17 prior to 1995) are even permitted to see the film regardless of whether they have supervision by an adult. Usually reserved for pornography but also included for graphic violence deemed too cruel for an R rating.
@LilRocker2005 Жыл бұрын
A couple of the early Friday the 13th sequels had huge issues with the ratings board and almost always received an X rating on the first submission, causing the filmmakers to go back and cut out stuff to get that R rating

My family used to vacation to Wilmington almost every year. You’d be amazed with how much stuff is filmed down there. Halloween kills, scream, the conjuring, iron man 3, I know what you did last summer, and my moms favorite, one tree hill. It’s so weird being there after you’ve watched all of this stuff because it’s like every corner you turn you’re like “I’ve seen that place!”, or “that’s where that guy died at!” Especially that bridge.

I saw a similar film called "Trucks" which is based on the same source material as this garbage fire. From what I recall, that film executed this plot way better. In regards to the Carolina, she likely lacks the fuel to move or ammunition for her guns. Even if she did, the 16 in. guns would have they're tampions fixed in the muzzles. I think it's safe to say that a "Killer Battleship" isn't in the cards.

This movie takes place in your native North Carolina. 'Sleepwalkers' takes place in my native Indiana. 12:47 Is that what he was referencing? They often layer homages on top of others (and I'm down for it). Have you seen the first two Hellraiser movies? 14:42 Too bad he doesn't know how to use it right. Everyone shoots it from the hip all throughout the movie! It's the reloadable training version of a Vietnam War-era M72 LAW (Light Anti-tank Weapon). Same sort of thing was used in Falling Down. Let's pretend that it's a genuine-article 66mm M72. That would mean it's a single-use disposable jobber. That means you'd better aim it and make it count! 15:24 The M-60 and the M72 are both icons of the Vietnam War. 22:46 M72, not Bazooka. Technically, the training version of an M72 playing the role of an M72. 24:28 He should've worn gloves. A truck stop definitely would have had probably several pairs of work gloves. 26:00 Twisted Metal 26:03 Yes. They might be able to rupture fuel lines and whatnot. 12-gauge slugs would be better. But they have military ordnance. Apparently no .50 caliber anti-material rifles or 40mm grenade launchers, though. In the absence of all that stuff, if you need to disable vehicles, 12-gauge slugs are the go-to.
@averagegamecritic Жыл бұрын
Actually not having the head be the face makes sense. It’s welded on, so it’s like a mask, so it keeps the truck’s eyes consistent. That said, it’d make sense and be cool if it was the face. Jinzo wasn’t bad. It’s pinhead from hellraiser

The ice cream truck always scared me as a kid. Just how it drives down the street playing a melody (King of the road) trying to lure kids out to run them down. Evidence shown with the driver side headlight broken and covered in blood. Would have loved to see a kid run out yelling for help as it was going around the corner and then stops and turns around and hunts him down.

i always loved this movie, remember watching it as a kid, at like 12 or 13 i think, and it was hilarious. Sure, we didn't have the actual movie, I only had the edited "for TV" version where my dad would litterally watch movie, and pause the recording when commercials came on and then resume when it came back, so it was an even shorter movie with some scenes cut out, like i remember the origional start of the TV version started at the bridge and didn't include the "F**k You" sign or King's cameo with the ATM. but, it was always a good watch

I love that in the trailer Stephen King used some of the music from Halloween III Season Of The Witch (1982). Personally i find killer Coke machines to be hilarious even though I’m more of a Pepsi fan. What the fuck King? You didn’t have to involve Lisa Simpson in Maximum Overdrive at all. She’s nothing more than a cartoon prototype of a SJW (social justice warrior).
