This area was the theatre of harsh, bitter fights between the Italian and Austrian troops during WW1, as the frontline passed right through here, and still to this day the Cinque Torri retain lots of evidence of both the fights and - perhaps most importantly - the structures that were erected by the Italian army in support of the war activities, recently restored with a project of renovation and improvement which is aimed at enhancing the area historically: a point of view that had long been undervalued and almost forgotten (understandably so, perhaps) in the past.

Mark - your opening sequence is stunning !! You immediately "hook" the viewer. I am sure you have studied cinematography . The Italian Dept of Tourism should pay/ hire you !! I think I will go out and buy the new GoPro 9 - too bad I no longer live in Switzerland. Some of the shots almost look Drone like . I like the fact that you have included on your sound track , the voices of all the hikers. This really immerses the viewer into your presentation. Congrats on your fine work !!!

Thank you ! A year before i did not know my camera and i was all over the place ! I read comment what people have to say so i learned from my mistakes ! I always look for a opening shot and a end shot! I only need to learn manual focus and focus points on my camera focus center and focus wide . .. and music is the hardest part of video edit ! Some people don't like music. . Thats why its background music right now! And no filmschool i learn from youtube ! Thank you for your comment ! At 14:35 that ramp doesn’t seems very safe but it was worth going further because at 16:00 it was amazing...that is one of the best views and you were alone . Thank you Serge ! I learned from my mistakes from the year befor if you look at the Redwood James Irive trail the footage is good but very raw cuts and every clip has no begin and end and walking to fast and fast panning ! I had a comment from a guy who told me that every clip have a begin and and end ! Its easy edit and if you pan to fast the footage gets blurry ! I only need to try to film in manual focus it will get a gopro sharpness sometimes the focus is weird . . And behind opjects filming i need to film in manual focus it focus on the wrong opject in this film ! On my sony a7III i have a custom button right now if i set my camera on manual focus i can focus on time 👍 just found a video about it on youtube 😎 My video got 4K views in 11 hours i think thats a record for me 😉 have nice day serge thank you for your comment 👍

The Flying Dutchman Hello Mark You must say that in the Redwood it was a long walk so maybe you were a bit on the hurry and I think you didn’t want to see no one in your video . If ever I have money I will buy a Sony mirrorless camera with a gimbal .And yes every clip has a start and finish sometimes we forget about it and pass trough when we should stop and then when editing we have to cut and it doesn’t have the same effect . Another thing ...filming alone or with someone is another game , I am always with Hélène my wife so I feel in a rush sometimes even if she is very patient waiting for me 😂. I am glad for you my friend , you deserve the success you are having !😉 Something I forgot to tell you ...I love much more when you add a bit of music as a background. I will upload another episode of our trip in Gaspésie on Monday it will have music in it that was lended to me by the composer. It happened a few times up to now and I have another composer from Italy that just lended me some music to include in a futur video .🤪 I would love to see you commenting one of my videos if ever you have a minute , I would help my channel and maybe you would have a bit more viewers coming over to your channel . 😉👍 Have a great weekend Mark and until the next one . I use a Sony A7III with 16-35 F4 lens and Weebill-s gimbal for zoom i use 24-105 F4 ! And also 1 or 5% Warp stabilizer in post can't use it al the time you get wobbeling mountains 👍 thank you for your comment !
