Ingredients Used:
* 4lbs of Sweet Potato
* 3 1/2 Cups of Flesh from the sweet potato
* 3 extra large eggs
* 1/2 cup sweet & condensed milk
* 3/4 cup evaporated milk
* 1 TBSP vanilla
* 1 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
* 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
* 1 TBSP Cinnamon
* 3/4 TSP nutmeg
* 1/2 TSP Ginger
* 1/2 TSP Salt
* 1 TSP Lemon Extract
* 5 TBSP unsalted butter
* Pillsbury Pie Crust
* Hand Mixer
* Large Bowl
* Pie baking dish

This is an excellent recipe and I have never tried it because my mother has the same ingredients except 1. So I know this will be good for a fact as I've been eating this pie recipe for over 50 years. The 1 thing my mother don't use but have tried is condensed milk it makes for a sweeter pie.

Love your instructions, that is a beautiful pie pan! This is similar to my recipe that was passed down from my Mom. Ginger is totally the secret ingredient. Differences: she only used evaporated milk, she did not use nutmeg, she used graham cracker crust and only vanilla extract. I've been trying to perfect my recipe, my Mom's pies were legendary. I'm about 99% there, I think the missing ingredient is love! ❤💕💖

Your pie filling came out good it looks really good I usually make my pie filling a week before the holidays are usually just freeze it until I need to take it out and cook it. I made 3 pies on Sunday following your recipe with the exception of the ginger and nutmeg (I do not like the taste of these 2 ingredients). I add lemon zest and fresh grated ginger. Makes a huge difference 😊
