My grandmother was the biggest George Jones fan, and she use to tell me her favorite quality was his ability to sing a sad song and be able to hear the sadness in his voice. And I would counter that Jerry Lee Lewis was the master of that quality... Everybody thinks about the fire and passion of whole lot of shaking or Great balls of fire. But in the sixties when he turned the country music and would record those songs you could hear the pain and sadness in his voice no matter what he sung it bring you to tears cuz you knew he felt whatever he was saying about I think that is a quality not many have but he had it in spades

@StanSwan Жыл бұрын
@@know_not_wickedness I would guess things are a lot different these days? Now a band can control just about everything as there are so many outlets for them to put themselves out there. In the old days to be on TV there were only 3 networks that had a monopoly. It was great for the Beatles but not so great for a new artist to break through.
